Our summer place is on Bald Head Island on NC. They don't allow cars on the island so you have to leave it in a parking lot.

My 2006 TL has sat in the summer Carolina sun for over two weeks on occasion with no problems. You have a ground someplace that is causing the drain.

I'm on my 3rd battery in 1.5 yrs. and 28K. I think it's abnormal but a lot of others have similar stories. Admittedly I have a lot of electrical mods on my car.......I tend to play my music a bit with the car off like a dummy........All this will mysteriously change once my warranty is up

If the car is shut off... there should be nothing trying to link up with your cell phone. When I turn off my car.. my phone makes a sound letting me know it has un-synced from the car...

hey kevinacura, went on vaca for two weeks and didn't drive the car, had no problems starting after and i have a 06 w/ the original battery. if you replaced the battery w/ a new one already and it's dying within two days, something fishy is definitely going on that may go beyond the battery.

there could be a draw somewhere in the system, the only way to check would be to disconnect the positive battery terminal then take an ammeter set on DC and put one probe on the battery lug, and the other probe on the cable terminal. You should have less than 35 milliamps anything more than that and you have a drain somewhere that is killing your battery

Ok guys...here's my story with batteries. I've got a '04TL 6MT with only 14,000miles so it's obvious I don't drive it daily. For years I've had problems with the OEM battery going dead. Once it was my fault for leaving the map light on (it doesn't go off automatically). Other times, the battery would just die after 1-2 weeks so I bought a battery charger. Usually I'd charge it weekly but the battery would still drain down after a week if I forgot to charge it. Finally...I got sick of charging the battery so I bought an Interstate Battery. My problem ended with the new battery. It recently sat around for 2 weeks without going dead. Those OEM batterys are total bullshit.
I'm still trying to figure out the bluetooth thing with my cellphone...sometimes it seems like the phone is still connected when I'm in my kitchen....close to the garage. Lately I've just been turning off bluetooth at the cellphone because I'm not convinced it disconnects completely.

check the direct connections on the battery. Mine was extremely loose and I had the dealers tighten it up. Never had battery problems anymore afterwards.
