Can someone please take their '16 ILX to a custom exhaust shop !?

I I can't seem to commit to taking my '16 ILX to a shop to get it done. I have the $$$, I'm just worried about anything that can go wrong getting a dual exhaust set-up.

Plus I don't personally know/trust anyone that works on custom exhausts; so I would be taking it to a shop I find on yelp.

*btw I will be installing the Aero Kit soon. I have just been so damn busy to get anything done!

 

Let me just say that the previous ilx was around for about 3 years and only 2 people did a dual exhaust.

Their work should be enough to get you started. If not. I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for a 16 ilx owner to do it.

Hell i was surprised anyone but aaron did it.

 

I checked out several shops and wasn't impressed with what they made so I learned to TIG on utube and built my own. Then I taught myself how to modify plastic bumpers
Dirty car hidden by overexposure.

 

Exhaust, diffuser, Type R skirts and not overexposed.

 

Im surprised you havent melted the plastic around the exhaust tips... are you running any time of downpipe on this car?

 

The tips aren't attached to the tail pipe. There is a gap so only the cooler gasses are in 'contact'. 2.25" aimed into a 3". Many of the factory systems are using this now. The state I live in has similar laws to California and inspect the vehicle for air quality system, so no. only cat back. I did an intake but didn't like what it did to my oil analysis, so I removed it.
