2016 ILX computer issue?

Several times now, I have started my car and the following items occur:

  • Radio station memory deleted (station pre-sets still work, but the numbers do not show on the bottom screen of the dash...show wrong stations even though the correct station is playing when on FM, when on SXM the pre-sets are merely blank)
  • Auto-on lights stay on even in bright sunlight
Thing is, when this happens, I can usually just kill the car, then re-start it, and all is good...the lights go off, as they should, and the station displays on the bottom screen show correctly.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this one. Thanks in advance.

I've had the same issue with my stereo when I first got my car. It happened about 2-3 times, but it hasn't happened in quite a while (knock on wood).

Well, while they are waiting for my replacement rotors to arrive, they are going to do a "hard reset" on my computer...guessing I will have to re-program everything once I get the car back...but at least the problem will not arise again (hopefully).

What does it entail

Do you know what the hard reset entailed? Can that be done easily by myself at home?

Thanks that would be great. Also were you breaks making noise or did you just get new rotors as a preventive measure?

They were squeaking, but i think the directive is to inspect and replace the brake rotors for any rotor manufactured before 05.27.15

Steve...did you also experience scratching of the clear window that goes over D, R, N? If so did you have Acura repair it or did you try to polish it

Mines a little scratched up, but I didn't want to stress over it so I just ignore it.

Well... new issue arose this morning with my stereo. It would connect to my phone via Bluetooth for like 2 seconds and dropped out and it repeated this during my entire drive to work. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on and the problem proceeded... so then I turned off the Bluetooth on my phone and turned it back on and had the same problem. We'll see what happens on my drive home and if the problem continues, I guess it's time to finally take it to the dealer and have them take a look at my brakes while it's in there.
