I got a very quick response from Jake that the new batch of 9005_3W_W's provide full output at 6~16v. So I'm going to TOFTT and order a set to see if I have better luck than scv76_ did.

Couple of weeks ago I contacted Jake, but got no answer.
Sounds like they got them to do full output at a reduced voltage, but what about the drl dash light problem?

Worse case, since it's wired in serial, I can throw an inline resistor after the LEDs in the circuit to keep the DRL light happy. Just have to calculate out sizes after I get the supplies together and take measurements.
I liked your pigtail idea, if this project goes to heck I can just pull it all out and revert to stock.

Arrived, installed and they work!!
Alright, good news. The lights arrived today from V-LED and I just installed them out in the parking lot. They work straight out of the box and do not trigger the DRL warning lamp!
The light output is somewhat dimmer at 6v than 12v, which is good because it almost looked like a high beam when I had just the passenger side one installed. Once the driver side one was in place, all was well.
So these are definately a go for 07-08 DRL replacement. The PN from V-LEDs is 9005_3W_W.
Will try to take some pictures later tonight when it's darker out...

Price didn't seem bad to me to be completely rid of the jaundice DRLs. I remember paying a lot more for a set of PIAA bulbs back in my Integra/CL days...and those were just colored glass.

I'm debating my self to buy the bulb....$50...I'm not cheap...but I wanted to get GTA4
This bulb is 10000x better than stock, as long as I don't see the yellow, I'm happy.

Well...the problem is that I doubt v-led would want to be a sponsor here...
From what I'm getting this is produced by hand thus the hight price...plus it's exclusive. I'm sure this can be made overseas for cheap, but I'm not willing to purchase a container load of them, lol.
