BTW, I've purchased several of the 194-WLED wedge bulbs from superbrightleds.com in the past and ALL of them have either gotten significantly dimmer over time or they burned out completely. I started buying from VLEDS and haven't had a single problem with any of their bulbs. FYI...

Also, it's a total waste to spend extra money for the flank/panel LED's for the dome lights. The normal-shaped LED bulbs work perfectly fine. There's a chrome reflector around the bulb socket so any/all the light shines down into the cabin.

Here's what I have:

That looks really bright. Is it just an illusion of the picture or is it super bright? If I got the 5K bulbs, would that be slightly less bright?

Yes, it's brighter than the stock halogen bulbs, that's the point. It's not too bright though. If you get the higher end LED's with more power, then it can get overly bright.

The 5k bulbs are the same brightness, just a different color temperature. 5k is more white and not as blue as the 6k.

Thanks for the info.

I appreciate the insight on using the flank and other bulbs. So far I've been only looking at flank, now I have more choices.

No prob. IMO, the flank style is overkill. I'd put them in my trunk, but not in the cabin. The regular 360* style LED's are perfect. If you're unsure, just buy a pair and try them out in your dome lights. If you don't like them, just put them in your doors.

Are the flanks brighter? I was communicating with another member so said that the bulb he bought for the trunk was not bright enough. If the flanks are brighter, then I can use that for the trunk if I have issues with brightness.

There's always a 15% coupon code available. If you sign up for their newsletter and "like" them on Facebook, they'll tell you the coupon codes on a regular basis. I've also noticed that some bulbs are out of stock. Hopefully they'll replenish soon...I need more bulbs to complete the LED conversion in my wife's Traverse. :P

I noticed that VLED finally got some of the LEDs in stock that I was looking for. Can someone look through my order and see if this is correct?
Thanks

Order Clarification:

Front & Rear Domes + Vanity Lights (3 pairs) = http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p5168709.html

Front Door lights (1 pair) = http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...-p4481039.html

Center Console and Glove Compartment (1 pair) = http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p6941708.html

I'm kind of stuck on what to use for the trunk and the reverse lights. I've been reading through this thread and there are varying responses with some saying certain bulbs fit while others say they don't or they aren't bright enough. Any suggestions?

The trunk is basically the same as the vanity lights. Maybe slightly larger, but I'm not sure of that, but it doesn't matter - if it fits in the vanity, it'll fit in the trunk.

There a MULTITUDE of bulbs that will fit and look fine in most of those locations.

For the Glove Box/Center Console, those are type74. Not sure if what you listed will work or not, but also check this page: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...orLanding/true

What I'm not sure about for the glove box/center console is whether either your link or mine has bulbs that are the right length. If they're too long the diffuser won't go back on.

Your first two links should be fine (domes and doors).

i bought these for my car about 4 months ago. they are really bright, and if you have a navigation system this really helps you see the most when you are using the back-up camera.

Just thought I'd throw out a quick question since it hasn't been answered for me in the LED DRL thread.

Anyone have recommendations for DRL LEDs? I have the iJDMToy version but I'm not happy with the brightness. A few others have posted that their DRLs are really bright, and said that they got theirs from VLED. I was wondering if I'd have to order the whole set up from them or just the bulbs and use my current iJDMToy set up.

I like my cree reverse bulbs. As well as the license plate bulbs I got.
I did my interior lights red as well minus vanity lights which will be white when I get them ordered.

Got my switchbacks installed today and about to get soldering.

I ordered most of my bulbs from vleds.com but may search around for a little better setup.

If you have a rear camera you will disagree. There is not a bright enough bulb at night with tinted windows.

Can someone PLEASE post what i need to enter in the search to order front and rear White LED from either V-LED or SUPERBRIGHTLEDS. I've been looking for an hr and still haven't found a link to either site that still works.

1. Front and Rear Dome LED (Size, Quantity)
2. 2 Door White LEDS.

Link would work if anyone could.

No offense, but here are the part numbers. Just search under that or look back in the thread for what other people have used.

All models (04-08 and Type S):
Rear turn bulb(2ea): 7440
Reverse bulb(2ea): 921
Ceiling(dome)(4ea): 2825
Doors(2ea): 194
Trunk(1ea): 2825
Vanity mirrors(2ea): 2825

Glove box(1ea): 74
Center console(1ea): 74
Brake, side markers and high mount stop: all L.E.D.

*The 2825, 168, and 194 are all the same size with different wattage.

Thanks, I bought the other night. Looking on V-LED website was really confusing and didn't make sense even with the given information above.

i've read through theses posts and was wondering if these would fit the dome and vanity? They are listed as 2821 but the dome and vanity are 2825.

Finally took advantage of VLED's coupon and replaced all my bulbs.

Here's my list:

Front door:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...38587-1-2.html

Front and rear map lights:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...94388-1-2.html

Vanity and Trunk:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...68709-1-2.html

Glove and Center Console:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...81071-1-2.html

The hardest part was trying to figure out how to get the vanity lights out.
I taped the tip of a screwdriver, then went in from the non-door side. Wiggled it a bit and the while light housing comes out and that's it.

For the glove compartment, try the center console first. They are exactly the same and it gives you a good idea what the housing looks like.

Overall, very easy with no need to do anything other than remove the covers and replace the bulbs.

BTW: The idea of using tape to pull out the bulbs is awesome. Used it on almost all the bulbs.

the red backlighting...is stock. it's a type-s interior (steering wheel, the aluminum race pedal covers, two tone seats). if you wanna change them all to red in your base TL...look up deathmetal's threads on interior lighting to do the mod. its a lot of work but you'll get a red interior.

God this is a long thread.
I'm not in the modding mood again.
I can't find ht JLC reverse lights anymore, the link above is broken.
Has anyone looked at these?

It's 476 Lumens with 68 LEDs on the sucker.

Hey guys, sorry to thread bump, but I'm looking into doing the LED conversion in our RBP TL. As much as most of you hate blue LEDs, I really feel that they would go great with a blue car. As confusing as shopping for LEDs are, I think I have come up with the solution that:

These lights will work in both the front and rear domes: (http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...99342-1-2.html)

These will work in the courtesy lights on the doors: (http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...94095-1-2.html)

& These will work on the vanity mirrors and trunk: (http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p6053721.html)

Considering I'm a total newbie when it comes to lights, I'm honestly not 100% sure these are the correct LEDs, but that's why I'm posting here before I buy anything... Thanks for the help guys!

Those are correct!

I would use the flank bulb in the front domes, though.
They'll be brighter.

Agreed---Flank bulbs in front.
Consider the forward firing bulbs for the doors and rear. The sockets are aligned properly for those type bulbs and you wont be wasting the light to the sides where its not needed.
Go with a white flank bulb in your trunk if you want to actually see anything in it! I also used white bulbs in my vanities for when I needed real light in the cabin.
Finally, check V-LEDs Facebook page for current coupon codes.

You should have gotten these for your doors or interior dome lights for the blues.

These High Power bulbs use two .5W LEDs equal to 20 standard LEDs. This light is amazing with the smoothest and brightest light output we've ever seen.
I had the 360 Style 5-LED blues for several months. Replaced them with the 360 Style 13-LED blues for a couple weeks and replaced them with those "High-Power 2LED FLANK Style" ones and the high powered ones blow the 5LED and 13LED out the water.

Not only in terms of brightness, but also the color of the blue.

I always thought the 5LED and 13LED blue were actually "blue" but once I put the High-Power 2LED blues in, I finally realized what a TRUE BLUE LED is supposed to look like...

I don't have a picture for a comparison, but all I can tell you is that the 5LED and 13LED blue looks light teal / aquamarine when compared to the High-Powered blue ones.. When I first put them in and compared them side by side I was like "Holy $#%$" it's so blue... It's real dark blue and rich in color and very very bright.

I gave my 5 and 13 LED blues to my brother to put in his camry and recently installed some 13 LED blues in a friends chrysler 300C. At night when I look at both of their cars and notice the blue, I can't help but to think to myself how "not" blue it looks in comparison to my 2LED high-powered ones.

OK that's enough talking about that lol. You already placed your order so there's nothing you can do about it.

Nonetheless, I'm sure you will be very happy with your new 6 and 13LED blue bulbs (just like me when I first replaced my OEM halogens for them). But if I were to ever park next to you and show you my blue LEDs compared to the ones you just bought, it would make you want to go return them and get the same ones I have
