So I'm in the midst of getting my PMP certification (That's Project Management Pro-ho, not PIMP)...
What a crock of shit.
Every 30 minutes, the prof says "well the Project Management Institute expects you to do shit like this, but in 28 years of working as a PM and 19 years of teaching this course, I've never seen ANYONE do this."
Well if that's the case, why the fuck is the PMI forcing us to learn shit that doesn't even apply to the real world. At all. This certification doesn't make you any better of a PM. It ends up making you quite the opposite, looking like a fucking tool.

I'm considering going for my PMP at some point - is it really useless real-world stuff?
I was unsure what a lemon party was. So I googled it.

You should take a nap and go to Denny's at 5:30 for dinner. Get a free scoop of vanilla ice cream for your birthday.
Then shit yourself in the booth, go home, take a bath (not a shower) and get in bed by 7:45. Turn on the TV and start watching some shows but fall asleep in the first 10 minutes of the show.
Wake up tomorrow and remark that you're not dead yet.

PMP is good when you're working as a project manager. Most companies, especially big ones, don't require their PM's to have official PM training / certification. It won't necessarily make you more marketable.

Hair out of your ears, nose and eyebrows long enough to braid, I know you Islanders (although that might be a white boy affliction)
Less sex (with women)
Having to floss and brush more often to avoid dental work
Giving less of a fuck about your Kross Kolours being perfectly pressed and a perfect tape/fade
Yolo in moderation
Drinking (4 beers) until you pass out (at 9PM)
Loving family time more
Being more of a home(boy)body.
Being even MORE reasonable with money (you might have hit this milestone early)
Your parents becoming even more annoying with their life advice and what you should be doing.
Whalecum, MAN! A barrel full!
Need a towel? Pre-stiff ones!

I was literally going to open my first post today with "Fucking Project managers" but I thought I'd spare you all. The only thing worse than a project manager is a mediocre engineer that gets promoted to PM, has no management or business training, and now tells you how you're doing your job wrong just because he was once an engineer. Shitty engineer, shitty PM, shitty decisions being made and everyone suffers.

I'm doing it because I figured it would make me a better PM. I'm more so doing it because my company is paying for my exam prep course (over 3k for six days of learning!!), and I'm a little slow at work right now, lol. Plus, the exam changes on January 8 and will become harder. Figured I should get it now, while I have an open opportunity to do so.
