3G I see about 10 a day.

4G maybe 1 a week.

Couple 2G TLs running around.

Maybe it's because Marysville is minutes away but I see tons of 3Gs, 4Gs, and TLXs.

Can't forget how many of the 3rd gens Acura sold... 340,000? 4G... 170,000?

Literally half as many of them on the road?

With a drop of that many surely someone in corporate should've noticed and picked a better designed and speced 5g

I'm completely convinced Honda has lost their way entirely. Both in design language and in drivetrains.

Although the new Civic Type-R is probably a beast. Ugly as fuck but everything else...

I think Honda and Lexus have a wager going. Honda bringing the absolute worst looking wheels to market and Lexus keeps bringing the most recockulous grille options.

There are no winners. Only losers.

Exactly. What are they thinking? And the part that makes it even worse is they used to have some of the best stock wheels on the market!

Meshes, blades, waffles...

It's a good evolution... Just 6 years behind the times. It should have came out in 2009.

The J-series has been maxed out, in terms of reliability vs output for years now. Changing it by 5-10hp is fuck all. And let's be honest, I'm sure Honda could crank out a few more HPs out of the thing, but I think they are purposely limiting themselves because of FWD, and getting too close to RLX J-series output.

I'm sure they could crank out 350hp out of it, but it wouldn't come until an 8000rpm redline, which is not what that car or engine is intended for. I'm sure the torque values would suffer a bit too, which is more important for DD driving, than an 8k redline.

So in essence, Honda pigeon holed themselves with that setup.

We don't need more HP though...it's already too powerful to hand over these kids in their first kia rondo 200HP...

I was thinking about that when I saw a new Hyundai accent going down the road that was probably as big as the first version of the santa fe. This country is always bigger is better...every model gets released and it's 3 inches wider and roomier. So instead of saying hey fuk face, you need more room get the Pilot instead of the CRV...we keep making them bigger and upping the price. Eventually we have an army of fkng vehicles that don't fit in lanes or parking spaces with too much power and gadgets that let you know another car is next to you and stop for you and lane watch...

so our cars get smarter and we're allowed to get dumber?

TLX has a solid J series motor because it's a solid J series motor...go put another one in, oh snap, glass tranny...oh snap burns oil...oh snap...

for what? the 3% of the population with little peaenises that wanna be like oh baby my car has more hp than yours!

Well, every car I've owned has been faster or better than a previous save for the S2000 in comparison to TL...but then it's fun.

So...I can pull into traffic and get going fast...I can pass people that are returds in my way...

what more do I need?

Hot hatches are all the shit in Europe, never got into the trend.

Focus ST seems to be getting some sort of following here now, and the Volks GTI obviously. Otherwise NA isn't the best market I recon.

Ohh one of two posts from Maj trying to put me down. Who knew.

300/300 on a tightly tuned 3000lb car? Almost beating 911s around the ring with a boosted 2.0? Yea...I'd call that a beast of a Civic.

Shame the rear end is that ugly.

I used to see the R civics in Switzerland in 2003...center exhaust and very aggressive styling and NOT de-tuned.
So hot, breaux.

It's just an old and tired engine platform. They used it for near twenty years. Yes, there have been tweaks and changes, but there's still a J on the block.
