Poor both of them...that fkng sucks. Shiet...poor everyone that even drove past cause if you have a heart it at the very least ruined your morning.

They had some emergency plane landing on the highway very near me. If I were in shape to be on a bicycle I woulda gone to get y'all some first hand footage. Odd scenario, the ghetto birds from all the news channels hovered for hours. I was like, "fk yeah"...felt like South Cental LA! #mamawemadeit

My ex boss used to work for 911 call center and had to dispatch EMT at one of the big train yards in Montreal.
A man got trapped between 2 wagon at the waist and the knuckles "locked". The man didn't die on the spot, EMT arrived there and he was fully conscious, very well aware of what happened. The pain was not unbearable according to the reports of those who were on the job, most likely because of the severed nerves + shock. He wasn't bleeding out either, thanks to the knuckles keeping him shut.

He was told that whenever they'd separate the train wagons he would die so he requested he see his kids and wife before dying, and a priest to come. They draped him as to hide the disgusting bits and brought in everyone, he talked with them for a good hour before telling the medics and priest he was feeling a bit weak and saw that as his time to go. Priest did his thing then they made everyone leave but the medics at that point...

The train yard called in someone who was not aware of the situation to move the locomotive, never telling that person what was happening near the end of the line so they would not be aware/feel guilty of "killing" someone. The train driver moved the locomotive a few meters and they packed everything up...

Some of the stories that guy told me were fucking gruesome, that has to be one of the worse ones though.

that's a fantastic piece...love the shape of the upper and the bottom looks to be 50's? Dude, gray gray gray...Betty made me a believer...Gray with a strong accent color or handles will POP right off the wall and make it look retro chiq instead of just old.

Damn...I can't believe I'm straight.

Right? I say shit to people these days about my house and or projects and walk away thinking "jesus that was some Bird Cage shit"

Our entire house is now filled with those pieces. The Emphasis line downstairs, the Brasilia line upstairs. Google Broyhill Brasilia...they are a very attractive design scheme. All late 50's-mid 60's.

I would never paint that gorgeous walnut veneer though. It'd be a sand and stain thing if I had to. I have a feeling that particular piece just needs a thorough cleaning and some moisturizer.

I just finished this little guy a couple of weeks ago. I had to sand down the wood inserts and re-stain. I started removing oxidation on the brass 'fingers' with a very mild solution and it started taking the finish off. We decided instead painting over it with gold that we'd just let it be and show it's age.

I realized I fucked up and wired 2 things reverted on the HVAC... not sure how dangerous that is, both are labeled as Audio Unit IMS 0 or 1 but still...

That's like a whole hour of disassembling the dashboard for this. And the fucking climate control is the most annoying part @_@

Thanks J. Yea other than our couches, our bed frame, and an entire Ikea set in the fourth bedroom, there is no furniture in our house younger than I am.

Justin: Hot cars! I had a 350 Nismo try to race me the other day. I refrained as I couldn't remember what those things put down. Pretty sure they are rated at 300 but I wasn't certain. 370s on the other hand...

The 370Z Nismo puts down 350 hp for reference vs 332 hp for the 370Z. It's quick, the non Nismo does 0-60 under 5 seconds. You would have got whooped haha
