And drums?
Imiation Game was good in my opinion, girlfriend loves Mr. Cumberbatch but all the code breaking she wasn't into. Me? Fucking Alan Turing... how could I not love that? Crypto shit is great.

Yeah, Little Cha's exposure to TV is quite limited to some Sesame Street if it's on the TV when he's eating and Curious George shows (he LOVES Curious George).

We do not let him catch any images of violence and -ing. Yes, maybe it's sheltering too much but that's how we want to raise him.

Considering how he still enjoys Sesame Street and Curious George, I don't think it's sheltering to not let him see violence and sexuality on TV. Didn't really watch TV as a kid except after meals and a bit on Saturday mornings and look how I turned o...

Tuesdays 8 |7C according to ABC's website. I dunno because I watch it on Hulu

Watch Fresh Off the Boat TV Show - ABC.com

I scoffed at it at first because the title was a bit offensive but it's pretty well written. Didn't know it was based off a book by Eddie Huang who also narrates the show.

Also, growing up.. my childhood TV shows included: Bill Nye the Science Guy, Arthur, Power Rangers....

I don't see a problem with that. Talk shit, think you're cool then get your ass beat? I hope it's a lesson he learned.

Yum, you still mash the piano keys? I think I played for 7 or 8 years, but I know I'm no ninja master when it comes to piano. Parents ended up selling it after I switched from piano to guitar. I haven't played in over a decade now, but I've been strongly considering getting a nice keyboard... I wanna make beats and just generally screw around and mix stuff up

On occasion, I do. Harder now with a kid since by the time I can sit down at the piano to play anything, Little Cha's in bed.

I played since I was 6 and was pretty serious with the instrument until I was 22...before graduating in commerce, I did consider heading out east in the US to pursue music. I guess a "bragging right" is that I got into places like Julliard, Oberlin, and etc.

But, again...being and playing piano SRSLY (and beaten on it), getting into good music schools was kinda...expected. Or I was a second rate human being and stupid.

I think really, I just applied to show my parents and others, yeah, I could. But, obviously, a life in music has no $$$$ unless I'm terribly lucky and EXTREMELY good...0.1 percentile good...and well, in Classical Music, that's very very very hard. And so, starve for music? No thanks.

In a gwai-ro dominated area growing up, piano competitions were often funny...kids would be playing Sonatinas or little Minuets and us would be playing Chopin Scherzos or Polonaises...

Yeah, the gwai-ro kids and parents were and at the kids...

Good on you, man. Yeah, the music biz definitely is difficult to make good money in. Especially on the classical side. It's hard to make a name for yourself and without that, no one wants to pay to listen!

My mom plays and teaches violin.

Most of her students are kids and they kick such ass. Much music.

The route to success in disciplined music (i.e. Classical) is 1 way only: Gotta win a MAJOR international competition (i.e. Van Cliburn, Tchaikovsky, Leeds)...period. Win that ONE...and retire from competition life (cuz, if you lose the next one, you're screwed; case in point, Angela Cheng -- who tried to recruit me when I had applied to music school).

You win it, you get that recording contract...go on tour...and kinda set for life.

The other route is go into PRESTIGIOUS music school...get that PhD...and find a teaching position somewhere. The problem? The good music schools/programs are freaking limited and most positions are not...open. So, you end up teaching in some second-rate community/local college for peanuts. And a pile of horrid piano students...those who can't get into a good school and are "majoring in piano" (death). This route is not that great.

Personally, I LOVE the cello and the beautiful sounds it produces.

This is a very powerful instrumental I love driving a particular section of twisty roads to:

Lol, heavy metal Scandinavian rock gods, all playing the cello. I like driving to their many different instrumentals. Guys look friggin hilarious, especially when in concert.

Finished birdman.. It was better than i thought. Act II actually pulled it together. I didn't think it was best picture worthy, but hollywood likes sucking it's own dick. Apparently there's a gif of keaton putting away his acceptance speech when the best actor nom was named.
