I had the pleasure of trying hot pot out on the weekend for the first time.
Wifey and I walked in and the place was packed. We were 2 of only 4 non-Asians in the whole place, so instantly we were like "awwww yeah,
approved! Dis place gon be good!"
And boy was it ever. Definitely going back again. I like eating crazy different stuff, but being a new experience, we kept it a little on the tame side with the stuff we were getting for the hot pot. Next time we'll be diving into the funky stuff a bit more.

If you drive a stock Miata, you'd likely be disappointed. They're fun, but they're not fast by any stretch. A lot of guys are now swapping the 2.5L in for the stock 2.0L. It's actually not that expensive, all plug and play, and ups the torque nicely.
Then there's the guys swapping their SC onto the 2.5L, putting down 300ish hp and 280ish torque to the wheels... They claim they enjoy seeing the shocked looks on Corvette owners faces as they drive side by side with them at WOT. That's not a lot of power... But it's such a light car with good gearing. They're able to push more power out of the SC 2.5L but they say controlling the car becomes something else.
If my 2.0L blows, I will definitely be swapping the larger engine in. Costs about 3k to do it and it's a brand new crate engine!
The nice thing with the miata is that the aftermarket support is incredible. There's so many go fast parts and such a huge community supporting it, yet you don't see a lot of duplicate cars like you do with the 3G TL, having the same mods. And it's not all US based. There's shit available from all around the world. It can be cheap to mod these cars and it can also get hella expensive also. There's just so much possibility.
But by the end of the day... It's still a Miata. Sigh.
I feel I've crossed that hump already. And really, when I'm blasting into a corner, rev match downshifting to get dat power band, hammer the throttle with the ass end kicking out just a bit, and top down with the cool breeze going over my head... Zero fucks will be given. ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

it actually taste like flavored "cajun" chicken.
its spicy. a little "fish-y" taste but its mostly the cajun spicy seasoning that you're sucking up
the amount of work to peel them is akin to like pistachios.
lots of work for very little return in meat.
but its fun to eat and drink and be merry with friends.

Definitely not like the South and probably a little more expensive since they have to import the crawfish but I think it's good enough for Cali. A lot of copycats started up around the area too to drive up competition!
Morning y'all! Is it friday yet?
