Vanity plates just started here (could get them before but it was complicated). It's the perfect time for people to get stupid plates with double meanings since the workers handing them out and reviewing them are not "in with it". Plus majority speaks French, English meaning vanity plates have a better chance to go through.

You can buy real nice scraps of leather / alcantra on fleabay (left overs from bigger projects) real cheap. Most scraps have enough for two seats.

I could be wrong, but I think you can get in shit from the cops. They can report it and you'll have it revoked, or some shit. You also have to give a description as to what your plate means- if you lie about it, it'll get you in more shit if you get busted.

I remember there was a guy around here who had a jdm 1990 Civic SiR and he wanted to get an "EF9" plate for the car. It's just the chassis code for that particular car. DMV said no because they felt there was a hidden meaning behind it and the "EF" can be misconstrued as being short for the Fuck. Seriously?!?!

He even explained that it was the chassis code and they still said no, lol. How retarded.
