The Mechanic Thread
What's up guys?
Tried searching for a similar thread, but couldn't find it (there's probably still a thread but "YOLO SWAG")
Who else here on AZ is ASE certified/a mechanic?
Also, are you guys independent or dealership mechanics?

you asked a few questions without giving the audience a true topic/subject.
if I asked; "how many of you do your own brake work?"
i would get back a few yes' and a few no's with no real "meat"
if you started off the thread with "hey, my name is andrew and im a mechanic at such and such and was looking to see if other mechanics were on this board. Where do you work at, where did you get your certifications from? any funny stories?
this would open up the dialogue 10 fold instead of the answers you've gotten here.

Since I'm not a mechanic either,
That's what I stated in his thread. Why ask about new brake pads if you are a mechanic/Tech at Lexus... Shouldn't you KNOW if new brake pads hit the market.... or does that go to show us the some dealership techs/mechs don't know shit.

I thought we had a few. I think we also have a couple of bodywork guys like Maker, etc...
