That record has only been spun like 5 times. It's still got the wrapper on it.

Bruh.. I have appetite for destruction in my mom's ride (gave her car when I left homeskis), 15 years now (99 RX300, got it in 2k).. . It's the only CD that doesn't get replaced. She doesn't mess with the CD player so it's all good. I always play Welcome to the Jungle as soon as I go back home and pump the volume to MAX.. windows down, shhhunnnunnnununnnunununununnnnnuuuuhhhh nahhhhhhhkneeskneesss!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought 2 of them a couple of years ago from a lady in Pennsylvania that owns a record store. She had them stored for 26 years unopened. I sold one for $80. I shouldn't have opened the one I still have, but I'll never sell it anyway.

1st record: I inherited a lot of my pops 45s and 33s. Mostly oldies, some doo wop. I never bought any that I can recollect.
1st tape: This is a tough one. I was into breakdancing back in the day, so I had a lot of old school rap like Afrika Babmaataa, Kurtis Blow, etc.. but the only tape I remember buying is 2 Live Crew (Heyyyy we want some pusssayyy!!) and jamming out to it on my boombox before getting it confiscated. Fk the police!
1st CD Shit.. De La Soul is Dead.. and Kris Kross.. muh fuka.. don't judge. Also around that time I picked up Street Jams: Electric Funk 1 because it had some of my dope breakin' beats.. I was on a walkman until early 90s though.

Fucking walkman would always be eating up my B-side.. listen to 4 minutes of tunes.. rewind for 2.5 minutes (30 seconds because you went to far). Then switch to that one song on the A-side... blrlerlerlelrelrlerl!!!.. fffffuuuuuu.

The first time I used a Walkman, it blew my mind. I thought it was the coolest gizmo out there and I kept being astonished at its capabilities. "This thing can play tapes anywhere?!"

I still have that CD player somewhere.. It has a ding or two, but that smooth sliding action still works.

Those Sony's were SO expensive when they first came out. Stock headphones were trash - foam always fell apart

typical Sony brand markup.

Their Vaio laptops were always Apple pricing at similar PC quality.. weird.

What you know about VAIO.. shiett.. they weren't nearly as inflated as apple products now but they were total trash. I bought one of their first desktops (the weird two tone purple joints, it looked slick). Fucking motherboard fried after 1 month. I didn't even install any software on it yet. I pissed all over it after and took it back.

I miss my mini disc player

I rememebr I bought it in Hong Kong and brought it back stateside.

It was the smaller form factor one where everyone else had a huge and bulky Sony one.

Felt special

Our family's first computer was Iirc an IBM XT(?) it was one of those two tone monitors that uses those HUGE 5.25" floppy disks.

After that we got a Intel i486 PC.

Then a 200mhz pentium PC.

Then a Dell iirc 2.0ghz Pentium 4.

And currently a 2011 dual core i5 Mac mini

For myself my first PC was a 233mhz Pentium

Then a AMD Athlon XP 1600+(?)

Intel core 2 duo E6600

And currently on a 2012 quad core 2.3ghz i7 Mac mini.

I hated dial up. It took forever and my porno didn't load fast enough. I remember almost getting caught because I tried to click out but the shit was so slow.
