Took the CRV on the beach last night. We didn't get stuck, but it got kinda squirmy a few times. Not bad for fail wheel drive.
Saw a Prius get stuck
Our other friends got stuck leaving in their older Escape. I had to push them out.
I want something 4WD now. I remember taking my dads modded Prerunner out there, and it did perfectly fine for being 2wd.
I kinda want a Jeep Wrangler/Grand Cherokee or 4Runner.

That bike on the side is my totaled carbon fiber frame though 
it's just a parts bike now, I need a new frame so I can throw all the old parts on it and have a new bike

I'm considering something older.. I can beat on it and not really worry/care if anything happened. Just run it to the ground and mod it to keep me entertained while I screw around on the dunes or in the snow.
I found a 2006 4Runner Sport 4x4 in Sunnyvale with 90k for 15,500.. I had 200k on my old 89 Toyota Pickup and only replaced the clutch, brakes, and tires. The ac still worked too. It was the perfect truck.
I dunno. Or spend 10k more and buy the FJ off my dad. That thing won't depreciate at all. If I buy it at the price he offered, I'd be 6k in the good right off the bat.

I've heard the FJ isn't necessarily as competent in off roading as some other vehicles. Not sure if true. However, I probably wouldn't spend 25k for an off-road vehicle that I just intend on beating on and not giving a fuck about. Personally, I'd save that 10k and go for the 2006 4runner.
The only issue with the 4runner is that I've heard it's a pig on gas. If it's jus for fun, it's likely not a big deal, but something to consider if you're planning on DDing it.

Car fax shows an accident at 50k. It hit a parked car.. It was in January, so I wonder if it was a low speed, snowy accident. It's an east coast car.
We would keep it as a third car well after it's paid off.

J, with baby Z around, you could likely get straight caffeine pumped into your veins and you'd still fall asleep

That baby is an angel...she sleeps anywhere from 9 to 10 hours now without fail. Premixed formula (as was recommended) and a daily poop and some activities and she's out from 9 to 7 or 8 the next day.
Shoot...I spent the better part of 16 hours in the garage over the weekend cleaning up the new whip and swapping parts. The baby was just chillin!

I don't think you really lost out. For almost 16k, you were buying a truck that was crashed AND spent its life in the rust belt, for the better part of it's life. Not to mention it was 10 years old.
It's either those things hold their value incredibly well, or someone was hitting the crack pipe a little too hard.

So after seeing Flip's sexy new Accord Sport, I decided to price one out.. Looks like I could get one, with a shit ton of factory options, for 32,xxx out the door. That's a great fucking price. That's MSRP, without even haggling on it.
That car strikes off so many of the right boxes... 6mt, sexy as fuck, but I dunno... I felt my TSX was underpowered, even with the 6MT and more HPs also... I dunno if I could go from the torque of the TL V6, to a four banger again...
And no, I'm not realistically looking to buy. Just window shopping. Being a young moola and scratching the car buying itch, ever so slightly. But fuck, that car has everything, except for the wrong fucking engine
