I'm looking to install some overhead storage for boxes and stuff though, I may go a DIY route and just buy a bunch of 2x4's and sheets of plywood...
plus an excuse to finally get a compound miter saw
Since we rent out the basement, we lost quite a bit of storage space, so i had to get creative in the garage. I was going to build my own overhead storage thingies, but I ended up buying these nice metal overhead racks from HomeDepot.
I got lucky and HD was discontinuing them, so I paid like $50 per rack, instead of $90. Yes, the wood alternative would've been much cheaper, but these look really good and it was a lot less time/effort to install them.

Yeah, I've been eyeing those from HD/Costco as well but was wondering if it'd be cost-effective...
Time is definitely much more limited for me so maybe I'll just go that route and call it a day... There's an attic up above so I don't have a problem going up there if necessary

The majority of topics are rehashed questions from newbies and it gets tiring answering them constantly the same thing you've answered before.
The rest is Ramblings, where every other day the discussion turns into senseless quarrel and you somehow have to justify your opinion at every turn. It gets tiring too, but mostly... it gets old quickly.
Otherwise there's a handful of very nice people around here which I wouldn't mind being in touch with () in a different context (my dungeon).
In other unrelated news and for those maybe interested in a personal tidbit, I am likely to be diagnosed soon-ish with hemochromatosis (iron overload) and maybe another problem related to my hypophysis, either caused by the first problem or not. Roid raging with a possibly weak heart, good combo yeah?
