I looked at a new S4, a few years ago. Wasn't really realistic at the time, but hey, a guy can dream.

I never understood the rage about German interiors. I always thought that the Japanese were right up there. Until I sat in one. And was blown away. It was a VERY nice place to sit. Honestly, it took me like 6 seconds to udnerstand and I must admit, the Germans know how to make nice interiors. The materials were luxurious, the fit and finish was flawless, everything was where you'd expect it to be... I couldn't find one thing bad to say about it.

What turned me off was the overall price of the car, and the very limited warranty it came with. I figured if anything, i'd buy like a 2-3 year old S4, but then there's almost no warranty left, and I didn't want one of those junky aftermarket extended warranties.

Alas, it was just a pipe dream. Not enough money. Too much risk. Just couldn't happen.

You gotta take some concessions.. It's a 8-9 year old car now, coming within reach of young guys who want to mod. It's hard to find a clean unit, with lower mileage, for a great price.

Plastidipped? easily removed.

Debadged? easily replaced.

Modded? Easily reversed.

I didn't even know it was posted. Just glimpsed through the ad. It's nice that they do that, though. Yeah, I wouldn't buy a dirty girl either, but there seems to be a lot of Type Ss available throughout the US, for reasonable prices. I guess it's just a matter on finding the right one, flying down and driving it back.

You're on a budget and time crunch, if you can get 14 out the door maybe? Maybe a friend in Socal can go and check it out for a case of beer...look at the repair specifically.

Howdy fellows...sup? And Taco...I thinbk you said German interiors were nicer than Japanese...I think so, at least compairing the several beemers I've been in and the couple of Mercs I've been in, the leather is way better than the Nissan/Infiniti, Toy/Lexus and Acura/Honda leather. I will say, for all it's painintheassiness the 335i is well built and trimmed inside.

Wait, are you saying yours has higher mileage and more owners, or the one for sale does? Not really clear.

That KBP 6MT I posted has an accident claim also on it, but it sounds rather minor. According to the car fax, sounds like something fell off a vehicle and hit the TL. If the fix was done properly, I wouldn't necessarily sweat over something like that. Again, it's an 8-9 year old car. Finding unicorns in unicorn condition is, well, like finding a unicorn.

Yes, my car...130K and I'm 4th owner. Guy before Justin was an enthusiast salesman that worked at Acura.

Mine says "major" collision but I read up on it and it can be a MAJOR accident like a 5 car pile up and it'll be reported as major but not to YOUR car. After looking at the car closely...the original trunk, no frame welds or bends...but replaced bumper, I was able to determine it was light damage. It is what it is...and for the price of a unicorn, I was willing to take the chance.

I don't love the waffles but am surprised by what the car being lowered and some rear spacers do for the car. They actually look pretty good...so much so that I decided to hang onto them for now.

Oh definitely hang on to them...there the orginal wheels so when you sell the car to me in like 6-12 months you'll have them.
