I have yet to play Unity. Black Flag was a lot of fun though. Need to get me a Xbox one/PS4.

As if the old one didn't have enough. That'll make the CTS-V an 11 second card hopefully. Be nice if they could shed a few hundred pounds too and bring it back to first gen weight.

Oh shit is unity the latest..

I was gifted black flag so thought it was the latest.. It's my first in the series. I played the original years ago. The whole pirating story is fucking awesome. I love being a pirate. Arrrrgghhh!!

Dood.. that's old school mentality. Let's not get into this again. In general, a lighter car is nimbler and quicker but if you have enough hp to shred the earth, it needs weight. It's all about traction. If you shed some weight and did a different setup on the tires and weight distribution, sure it might be better, but it will probably be a lot less driveable. 11's fo sho with a good dig and rubber.

Unity is the last one. Apparently it's full of glitches though, to the point Ubisoft offered a free game in excuse of you not suing them... What the fuck Ubi??
Black Flag was great, loved it too.

I'm not going the old mentality, just noting. Going from 3900lbs to 4300lbs is quite the jump. 400 lbs is nothing when you go from 400hp to 556hp sure, but nobody would complain if they can shed some weight.

If you can get a 640hp 3300lbs Viper, I'm sure Caddy can make a little something for the CTS-V. Obviously that's comparing apples to oranges, they're entirely different car with different purposes, but I have faith.

You're essentially sitting on the rear wheels in the Viper. It's about where that weight is placed.. balance. The Viper is a beast, I'm sure it's world's better than the previous gens but you still have to be mature to drive it. I'm sure the CTS-V is a lot more livable. If you want a high-hp car, it's easy and cheap. You can make it a stripper too. Driving it is a whole different story.

I entirely agree it's orange to apples, although the CTS-V if I'm not mistaken has a 53/47 weight balance which should make it so that it doesn't handle that terribly.

As for maturity, clearly age has nothing to do with it, my father's buddy who's around 60 threw his Viper in a ditch on a hot summer day. $12K in damage because he banged the exhaust a bit. Totally deserved it. If you're going to drive powerful cars like that, the first thing you should do is make sure you have the competence to actually drive it safely...

Either way, I'd be terrible happy to be given a current gen CTS-V or the next gen one. But that's completely out of my price range, around ~$35K for a 40K miles 2009 A/T sedan and ~$45K for a 35K miles 2012 A/T coupe.
Noooooope.

Maturity is so not an age thing..

Experience is though.. some people just like learning the hard way.

Why the hell would there ever be a danger to the manifold? Wait, let me rephrase that- why would there be a danger to the manifold before there is any danger to the rotating internals of the engine?

I love the manifold - passenger floor component on the Acura. It is very strongly built, as long as you're not having too heavy passengers it's all good.

If anything that shows that that car can take a fucking beating...holy hell...and rolled away unscathed (visibly)...
My TL would be teetering on that median...
