Rambling time
So yeah, I really did buy some 5500K XB35s as I answering the guy in that topic. Not sure what bulbs I have on the TL right now but they have some time on them (who knows how long), and $50 is practically spare change in the car world.
Slowly stacking up random parts and mod ideas through winter is cruel to oneself.
The only things I did this winter is order a replacement 5 LED bulb (well, 10 of them, since they're cheap eBay ones) for my burnt out license plate. Gonna swap both obviously so they match. I think the previous owner got a whole kit from iJDM or something similar since the interior leds got swapped, the doors, the license plate but not the trunk.
Other thing was trunk mat, cause all it took was a box cutter to make slits to fit it over the elastic nets anchor points. Also set up the tiny net over the area not covered by the mat (where navi disc would have been) and keep a few spanners, shop towels and small things there.
When summer comes I'll need to fix the burnt out steering lights, fix the flaky light connection on the driver side seat heater low setting (might end up changing the colors of hi to red anyway), do something about the belt buckle marks on the aluminum trim, add footwell lighting, nexus 7 setup in that thing, maybe light up door sills and replace the back dome light bulbs since one is going out I think. Also I don't think my back heater is working on the driver seat. I don't really need it or miss it, but I like knowing everything is working fine.

Bonjour, mes amis!
Polo...all good, man...I just didn't like em. I don't regret coughing up the scratch.

We'll see how it goes. Not a whole lot of people in my immediate entourage I can sell D2S bulbs to if they don't please me. So they'll get returned (although I hope I don't have to). Like I said, my bulbs are old and worn out. Anything new will help, although I'll really need to polish the headlights to get the full effect. The driver side one def is in a bad shape, yellowing ain't cool.

Okay, I see why sprinkler repair is an entire profession.
In a short 3 months...I've learned:
how to test and replace a capacitor on the pump.
how to test and replace the timer, contactor had it's last stand.
how to figure out if the checkvalve is working and replace it.
replace the duck that keeps the intake out of the canal muck
replumb the piping to the pump
fix missing/broken sprinkler risers
fix the hydro powered indexing unit that wasn't changing zones
The end is near...I'm down to replacing all the geared rotating heads...of course they are the expensive ones.
Probably about $350 in in parts...bet it would have been 1000 dollar troubleshooting/repair job.

Well, the system existed already, just hadn't been maintained or used in a decade...so it bothered me to know I have something that doesn't work on my new house.
AND...
Our grass gets dryer than Justin's car seat roaches when it doesn't rain down here during the "winter".

Congrats, Gary!
I guess as one BMW enters OT, another leaves. I found a truck that I want, so it's time to move the 128i along. Someone buy my shit: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1073943. It's a seriously fun car and I am going to miss it badly... at least I'll have the M3
My roommates and I are having friends over for New Years tomorrow evening, should be ~15 or so people coming over throughout the evening with a smaller group that will stay through the midnight countdown. Looking forward to a quieter time (went out in DC last year) and the ability to wander downstairs to my bed when it's all over.

Not yet J, they had to order a heater core...weird...4 year old car with a shot heater core. BMW service advisor claims he's never seen this before. A little worrisome...if that is a precursor of things to come with this car.

^Gary-I hope not! :fingerscrossed:
Can't wait to hear more reviews of it! Always have liked that version of the 3 series. Also interested in what wheels came on it.
Have A Happy New Year Everyone!
