If anything that shows that that car can take a fucking beating...holy hell...and rolled away unscathed (visibly)...
My TL would be teetering on that median...
are you fucking kidding.. that car is fucked.. you just don't know it.
I'd love for you to do some snooping and find out what the actual damage was.
I was partially kidding...I was just surprised that it was able to drive away from that!
Snowed in DC/NoVA today... I timed that Denali purchase just right, huh?
This was 66 East on my way in to work - note how fast I'm going, that's about how fast I went the entire way, with short bursts up to 25 or so.
Thankfully the tires on this truck are pretty good (Bridgestone Dueler M+S). It may be able to be slid sideways through an empty intersection with traction control off but if you leave TC on and prod the skinny pedal, it'll just lunge forward a few feet and then *bong* TRACTION ACTIVE comes up on the dash as your wrist gets slapped and power taken away.

No shit...good on you for the Denali!
I lived on the MD side of DC, use to commute for Laurel area to Gaithersburg using the BW Parkway and Beltway....1/4" of snow they were like parking lots so your speed is excellent. I hated that drive when the weather was good. I had co-workers that commuted from Baltimore to Gaithersburg...effin crazy.

You call that snow? Pfft.
Pansy.
You have no idea what snow is until you lived here for a bit. And oh, Fahrenheit is about to meet Celsius again.
Was it snow first then ice, or opposite? You guys are used to that in Canada tho...I was in Montreal about 15 years ago in January...snowed every day for a week...fortunately I was in the hotel where my conference/training was...hardly went outside.

It's why I call this country Canadark. Once Halloween hits, it's literally a dump of snow that stays there a la permafrost until early May and you go to work and home in the dark; what's daylight..?

Snow then icy rain. It's pretty shit to remove, the ice is pretty thick so it's difficult to break then heavy to shovel. Also pretty chaotic with power outages left and right. Came in my apartment on Sunday and had lost power at like 2pm, came back at 1am.

I grew up just south of Lake Erie in PA, same thing for us...snowed in October, on the ground until March or April, cloudy all the time. Sucked!

Mannn, I'd love more snow. The roads are already melted and clear. Maybe we'll get something more legit before spring hits.
Sadly, that amount in the photo I posted was enough to make everyone completely lose their shit. I saw several cars off the road with hazards on, just stuck (FWD stuff, too... c'mon) and a few accidents where sheet metal was bent. I don't get it.

First big snow everybody here still acts like it's the first time they've seen it. Driving 50 mph on the highway on the hazards and cars in the ditch and the Y forks on highways exits... Good job guys, good freaking job.
Parked next to a white 5th gen 335is about a week ago, looked real nice. Checked inside, beige interior appears to be owned by one of these lady that puts too much perfume from what I could gather, seeing some little purse thing and make up.
Told myself "she probably doesn't know what she's driving" then went on with my life.
Maj...not being totally aware of jargon...I'm guessing you are referring to the wheels? If that is the case...I like em, there 18", as part of the Sport package at the time.
OH yeah...it doesn't have any extra tint on the windows. I am definitely going to get it done though. The TL windows are tinted, not sure what % but with a black interior I want it.
Looks good, Gary! Glad you got the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse/Improvements) facelifted model. The earlier E90s with the "Hitler stache" grilles look so awkward to me.
I'm a fan of VMR wheels, they look supremely good on E9x's and are fairly cheap.
Sooo...figured out the mystery with the un-sprinklered swale...turns out there were 5 more sprinkler heads that run with the 3 heads in the back. I thought...damn, very few heads for a whole zone! Because when I'd swap zones, I never looked up front when the rears came on. The mystery front one I was aware of that wasn't turning on came on too.
Anyway...5 more $10 heads to buy...
Also, got my attic ladder done, trimmed, caulked and painted between Sunday and Monday.
but at least the sprinkler system will be complete and working properly.
