We have a 10'7" ceiling...but only 22.5" joist separation...most 10-12' ladders are intended for 25" openings...so we had to use the 8-10' one...which was great because it was only $169 with 10% off...BUT, it's max height is 10'3". I was going to extend the feet a bit, but it won't clear when closing the door...next best thing. Still better than pulling myself up off a ladder!

and done...unfortunately had to work around the door bracket...it was a tight tolerance and I didn't want to have to move the rough opening.

thanks!
actually...I missed using my brad nailer!
I might make a piece of furniture now...I love that thing.

Thanks everyone...it's getting there, really wanted a place to be proud of. Betty and I hosted a few get togethers in the last few weeks and everyone really loved coming to hang out. Even did some midnight darkness runs in the kayak down the canal Saturday night.

With every new model, there's always a new breed... although inbreeding does occur on the occasion...

have you not browsed through any of their threads? Let me save you the headache- just avoid that place all together- it's like getting sucked in to a vortex of never ending denial and stupidity, fueled by the dark energy of Acura's impending doom.

I don't see what's so wrong about the TLX, other than the complete lack of a third pedal.

It's a damn sight prettier than the 4G TL.

That said, I think the 3G TL and 1G TSX are damn sharp cars and everything since has been a downhill plummet.

In all reality, the 4G TL never should have happened, and the TLX should have been the 4G TL... 5 years ago (without the I4).

There's no exhaust pipes.. if anyone appreciates a nice rear exhaust pipe, I thought you would.

The V6 also doesn't have a stick gear selector.. it's a turn dial.. err knob.

The TLX looks better than the 4G did, I agree to that. Merging TSX w/ TL is a terrible thing in my opinion. Yes, I totally need a TL with a 2.4L in it. Oh wait no, I could have bought an Accord! 160hp for 3500lbs... I drove cars with the same power but 1000 pounds less.

For the record, I would consider the Altima 2.5 one of the most boring car I've ever tried. I was looking at the third gen Altimas before buying the TL and tried a 2.5L version for shit and giggles and it felt like I needed to start wearing a hat, go to church on Sunday and eat all-bran pretty much instantly. I imagine the TLX with a 2.4 feels exactly the same.

As for third pedal, making manual TLs was a mistake and a money pit for Acura. Sales just were never good, it wasn't worth it. I understand the move completely. I think it sucks though, I wish people would have asked for the manual versions more so they'd be readily available, but alas that's not the case.

They messed up pretty bad with the 2nd gen TSX though by introducing the 3.5L V6. Compete against your own TL, real smart, yet offer less than Audi, Infiniti and Lexus.

Anyway it doesn't take much to see Acura is being nostalgic thinking of the money they made during the older 2nd gen and 3rd gen TL times where they sold twice the amount of cars every year compared to the 4th gen (and I imagine the TLX).

I read some article regarding Tyson's book.. and it detailed a story back in the day about Mike Tyson accusing Michael Jordan of fucking his wife while at a party.. MJ was like..

Don King and MJ's brosef were like.. he's had too much to drink, time to go home.

PB.. dude.. sit down. 4G TL was so fucking ugly.. the 3.5L TSX was the only saving grace of that gen. It gave those who weren't blind, an option to upgrade rather than stepping away from the brand.
