Oh, I can leave at any point. It's my wifey who can't- she's waiting to get her new permanent residency card renewed and it takes like 6 months to get it. She can leave Canada, but she can't come back in, lol.

But I ain't driving 5000km to get there!!

Fly Taco! That's what I'd probably do. Miami is a good 1,000 miles from me.

I'm the best regional coordinator ever...I'm unwilling to drive more than 45 minutes from my home for a car meet.

To ensure she passed the test, I checked to see if she could make a good bowl of pho.

Haha, no, it's not exactly like that- she is a permanent resident, just not a citizen (the only difference being that she can't vote here). Until she gets her Canadian citizenship, she has to reapply for a permanent resident card every five or six years. No tests or anything, she just has to submit paperwork proving that she's actually been living and working here, as I guess there are people who try to get a PR card to get the benefits of living in Canada, even though they don't (like free health care).

The problem is that the turn around time to get the card takes forever. You can't even apply for a new PR card until your other one is about 3 months away from expiring, which leaves a window of not being able to travel. Thankfully once she gets the card renewed, she'll be dropping her German citizenship and applying for the Canadian one.

Me? I'm so non-Aryan, I'm pretty sure Hitler would personally march me into the gas chamber.

Haha, we're both VERY Arian. She a bit more so than I, as my hair is a dirty blonde. Both have blue eyes though.

My Tacobella:

And I: my hair looks almost brown, but it definitely isn't.

Hahaha I think Michael Keaton looks so creepy! Although, my hair is slowly going the way of the buffalo, just like his... Sigh. I dread the day where I'm forced to start shaving my head, or looking like George Kaztanza. I'm probably no more then 3 years away

Anyone want to start shaving their ass and making a toupee out of it for me?
