Whats up with RDX owners?

Finally watched the video of the M5. I love how silky smooth those engines rev.

RS, looks like you have silver rings around your gauge bezel. Those would look sick, complimenting the TL interior. Hey, I just found a new project for you! Get it done, make sure it's flawless, and report back with photos and a price to do it for the rest of us...
Also, how do you get your shift boot to stay up with the aftermarket shifter?
Edit: wait, I must be on drugs- those ARE silver rings, aren't they? *drool*

IIRC, you just give it a tug and swap your plugs over.
To get the shift boot to stay up, it's not very scientific...I used 2 very thick tie wraps butted up against each other, on a rubber hose nozzle washer...tighten and raise it up, then tighten down the shifter snug.

no sir, and almost everyone I know that has an older TL with nav has the error on it. Plus, I would rather map myself on the waze app.
My stepdad owned it before me...bought out his lease. When we went to pick the car with the intention of me buying it from him 5 years later...this TL was the first and only one on the lot with the sport package (aspec kit) and didn't have navi. Built in August 2003...bought 12/30/2003 and I bought it off him in January 2009 with 34K miles.

Is it engine or transmission? Are you talking about your oil pan? Usually only 3 areas that leak.. vtec solenoid gasket / screen, front main seal (cp seal), oil pump seal.
If you see dirt and oil from under the cp.. probably front main seal. If you see it closer to the firewall, probably vtec solenoid seal or oil pump seal. Not a big deal for either 3. If your front main seal is leaking, you probably disturbed it during the timing belt job.

Meh. I like the tail lights that I have. The only thing that I can think of that MIGHT accentuate it is a gloss black roof.

I don't have intentions of selling my car, but at the same time, I like knowing that if I had to, I wouldn't be getting raped on it, and/or have it sitting around for 10 months before someone does decide on it.
It'd be wiser to just buy a BMW or add forced induction to the TL...

it is the front main seal then.

Is it that easy, Maj? It's accessible via the crank pulley?

I think Dennis was talking about the oil pump seal, actually.

I will say though.. if it's not a lot of oil, like hardly any touching the ground. Wait til you have another reason to tear it apart.

Whew! I totally didnt want to tear into the top half of the engine again.

its leaking at a pretty good rate.
thus why I thought it was the oil pan drain hole plug thingy motherfucker.
I would wipe it clean and it would be filled with oil again.
last weekend, I wiped it down and kept it wiped down and found that it wasnt the bolt. as its dry as a whistle now.
and that's a funny expression because if you get a whistle wet, it wont work.
hahahaha get your whistle wet.
omg. im too stoned

The only fucked up part is you need to remove crankshaft sensor. Definitely don't want to fuck that up. You also want to be careful removing the seal and seating it properly. Get a seal puller or something similar like a paint can popper. Definitely don't want to groove the edges. Also get a proper seal fastener, cheap kits on HF / Amazon. Plus the auto-tensioner

sad to say because he's the biggest cocksucker of life, but the only CF hood I liked was sharkdicksbreath because he did purple tinted clear over it to make it match the custom purple paint job he stole from his insurance company (and you and I) after pretending vultures scratched his paint beyond repair.
Guess who suggested he do the purple clear over it...
