The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Part 2)
I drove my s2k to upstate New York from NW Ohio last October on a whim. Boy, was that an experience. I remember it being highly uncomfortable after hour 6.
Two weeks ago, I drove it 7 hours north to upstate Michigan, and it was actually pretty comfortable. Although I only drive it when I can have the top down, it doesn't seem to do to bad on long trips. And the gas mileage I was getting was impressive (31mpg on a bone stock 08 with 70k miles).

I'll drive the s200 if there is anything up to a 50% chance of rain. Actually, driving the s2000 is anything short of a downpour is actually kind of fun with the top down. Not "much" water gets into the car. Its the splatter that wraps around the windshield/windows that makes that part difficult.
BTW, what are the details on your S and where are you located?

they are speculating that the electronics on the flight might have been messed up and suggested that it was NOT a commercial jet hence Ukraine shot it down...
from what I understand is, when the flight gives the wrong code to enter a country's airspace, the country controlling the airspace will scramble jets to identify the flight and take suitable action...not sure if they can just launch a ground to air missile on a flight which carries NO self defense....
recently happened in India where 2 Turkish flights tried to enter the airspace using the same code (code is unique per airline per flight)....jets were scrammbled and once the correct code was retrieved, the jets were pulled back and the plane was allowed to pass/fly over the airspace....you cant just shoot a passenger jet down...effin 295 passengers on board that flight

What happened with that flight is very clear. The "separatists" (backed by the corrupt Russian government) shot this plane down because it entered "their airspace". Just like two other aircraft that they openly claimed responsibility for. They don't check any codes. They see a plane and they shoot it.
I really fucking hope that this incident opens the eyes of the rest of the world that the criminals in the Kremlin are the ones funding/supplying/controlling these supposed "separatists". Only sophisticated military grade weapons could have done that, the kind of weapons that literally if every eastern Ukrainian pooled their money couldn't afford. A lesson for the rest of the world to learn that cost 300 lives.
Fucking complete tragedy.
I wasn't going to bring this up here but since it was already posted I felt obligated to share my frustration and disgust over the internet.
