Sounds about right....I get some new lights and put them in, then I see better stuff posted on the forums the next day

 

Yup, that's them. Firstly I was dumb and got 6K which now doesn't match the 5K everything else. Secondly, the damn things shine UP, unline the stock H8 bulbs which only hit the ground. Thirdly, for how much glare they produce, they sure as heck don't help me see in the fog. Yeah they look cool in the pic, but they actually kind of suck for what I want them to do.

I'm eventually going to retrofit projectors in there (Fusion or WRX) with an HID kit. Now that's bad-assery.

 

meh...that'll be overkill...just get the matching bulb!
I ended up going back to Amber and a quality yellowish white low beam rather than trying to match all my 6K across the front again.

I like the look a lot.
