Your ability to twist what is said to ensure you're never wrong and the authority on every single issue is fkng uncanny. 90% of the time, I back down because it's draining, not because I actually think you're right.
Learn some humility and either learn how to express what you ACTUALLY mean and stick with it even if it turns out to be wrong or accept when you don't convey the message correctly.

I didnt read the rest of the post...since I honestly feel the 3.7 head swap is worth it...I wanted to do it before the wifey got preggers and had long conversations with Robert....
so yes, again, I am not twisting my words but you dont leave an opportunity to point out about something you dont know or maybe dont understand but want to say something about it LOL....

I will be honest, the 3.7 Mani and throttle body are $$$ and not worth the $$$ to gains ratio....I got them ported and polished too.....but if you want to get every HP that you can, then its a must as the gains are quite decent (again not worth the money but well)....
Justin I think what Jeremy was agreeing with was since you are out there and getting free-er flowing heads might as well cough up another some bucks and get them ported and polished and the maintenance work around it since we don't take the heads off the car everyday

^^^ aah OK...
Yes the 3.7 heads as I hear are the most free flowing and light...couple that will hollow and aggressive type s cams and you are in for a treat....
Make sure you hit up a dyno though...not for power but your Afr and timing...am sure then mods might throw it out of whack

and here is Roberts post where he speaks of 3.7 heads
and thats exactly the amount of post that I read and I know he jumped the gun coz I have been saying the heads are best bang for the buck...hell I was even trying to convince Justin to get them ported and polished....
In all due respect Anil (Mr. Big-Baller-With-The-GTR-Pics), grinding the tumble port heads (j37 and j35zX heads) is really not worth the money UNLESS one is doing the work himself...even then this is a borderline useless mod. I'm not saying that there wouldn't be any airflow increase but the difference would be enough to piss you off.

so to sum it up, Justin the 3.7 heads (read HEADS, H-E-A-D-S) are worth the money....gains will be had all over....
3.7 manifold and TB are very $$$$ about $1000 ish to buy new since we need the manifold + cover plate (ours is not compatible)...the throttle body alone is 500 bucks (for the 3.7 TL and the 3.7 ZDX TB is about 200-ish)....I dont feel you get much ponies out of it but if you have the money do it go for it....

So in Kansas/Missouri there are 3 basketball teams...KState Wildcats, KU Jayhawks and Mizzou Tigers...when I was contracting at Sprint, people used to put their mascots in their cubes....when the teams were playing each other practical jokes used to be a norm....not really pranks but jokes (before someone says am twisting my words again )
we walked into the office one morning with the KU Jawhawk hung by its neck at the dude's desk...hahaha
was effin hilarious....it was awesome when everyone was playing fair and had some good jokes taken in a sporting manner...

the Sprint project I was on was one of the best...ALL TECH people....everything documented, discussed, developed....all changes went through a change management process.... LOVED ITT
when I first started working used to get a change over the phone and me being motivated (my first job and all), implemented the changes and put it in test first and then prod....
then the "why was this change implemented", "do we have documentation" and the fella requesting the change "I dont recollect this requirement"
then I started asking for all those questions "ohh you want this change done? can I get a ticket...I know it takes time to approve but atleast send me an email, so I can work on the code while you get the approval"....I stopped implementing anything until there was an approved request....
learned my lesson quick and stuck to it...now I ask my peers to do the same...even if the request is coming from me...

I didnt even read your post Robert....seems like you jumped the gun and did not read my post
I was mentioning the 3.7 manifold and throttle body upgrades are not worth it....I have been always saying the heads are more than worth it....infact I was also telling Justin to get the heads ported and polished by YOU while they are off the car....
for my 3.7 manifold and throttle body (brand new from OEMACURA) I paid over a 1000 bucks...I would have gained about 4-6whp TOPS !!!
now the heads are a totally different story...

Fair enough brother....
Now that I read your post, I have to mention, your analysis makes my point even stronger on the heads...they sure are the best bang for the buck....for a smaller displacement 3.2 engine, they might be perfect from the factory but since its all out and open, I would still do the port and polish/get it done and fly deck the head for slightly higher CR (even though I remember you telling me on the call that after a lot of miles the carbon deposit on the heads do hike the CR ever sooo slightly)...I do have a tuning solution so that would be my solution since I can tweak the settings....
for Justin, the 3.7 heads, Type S cams, maybe a port and polish is what I have been suggesting....the 3.7 manifold and TB seem to be a lot of $$$...now if he can find a set for a good price, hell, do it....but at $1000 they seem to be a bit over the board...now if our TB's fit the manifold and the cost was down to 200-300, I would be recommending that as well....

It's not about covering my @$$...it's that we have a line-of-sight to what was requested...what is required...and how it was deployed. Documentation, as laboring as it is, is a necessary evil in designing or change management.

Yup...and when I do that, I get the snide comment of being too CYA-focused. Seriously?

I will be upfront and used to tell them..."hey if I dont save my ass, who will"...
with Change management, its awesome how you can go back and see the requester, the reason, who approved, who implemented, when it was implemented....that way if something messes up, you can get to the root cause very very quickly....
when I used to code, all my code with have a ticket number and date and title on top...

hahah yeah, the snide comments ALWAYS get me...need not be in person but even on the interwebzz !!! if you have some to say, be upfront, dont hide it behind a sarcastic comment...

and no, i didn't read the post because it started and ended with more "yada yada yada theoretical mental anil dyno yada yada i know everything about this car because i had subway for lunch while sitting in a holiday in express and even if i don't know everything i guarantee you when you prove me wrong what actually happened was you didn't understand what i was saying."
So I skipped it tl;dr style...like a fkng badazz.
