I noticed that most of the users on here like to keep their cars stock looking. or only acura aftermarket parts.. why is that? i understand for body panels and bumpers there isnt much choice. I wouldve thought that there be at least one user on here who works outside the box and try different things..

There are lots of users who think outside the box. Spend some time browsing the photo section.

There are a lot of members on acurazine, so you'd be correct in your statement about most keeping the car stock.
As far as aftermarket for bumpers and such, check out nitrous or trew...but for the most part, Honda got the looks of this car right so you'd be downgrading to slap some wings west bumper/spoiler kit on it...
AND there isn't a lot of aftermarket support, save for the little vendors helping us out...
Mystery solved.

My car feels sluggish until it hits about 4800 rpms. I guess I better get around to putting in the new APP sensor I have laying here from three months ago.
I could search this, but I'll be lazy and ask here anyway... are there butterflies in the upper intake manifolds on these cars?

yes, butterfly in the manifold closes at lower rpm to make the "length" of the intake longer and they open up at higher rpm to make the length shorter and a more direct path for the air to take....
I would reset your ECU, go through the idle relearn....if the car still feels sluggish, its a hardware (like the APP sensor) issue, else if it feels fine, its more like you are getting heat soaked....
in either case try the Coolant Bypass mod, that should help
![Nod](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif)
It's not heat soak since it happens right when I start the car. The throttle definitely is felt around the time I think the butterflies are opening. It's a fairly noticeable difference. It wasn't this noticeable with the Accord, so thats why I'm thinking APP or maybe even sticky butterflies.
I'm having my heads swapped in a few weeks. Might just throw on a new intake manifold while I'm in there.

a bad APP sensor will light up your dash though....
you will get the VSA/Exclamation light....i dont think you get a CEL though...
do you have an OBD2 BT dongle? if not, I suggest getting one and Torque APP on your android device....it will tell you the APP sensor throttle position and the throttle body throttle position....
there is no way to tell (via OBD2) the position of the butterfly in the upper manifold
