Pbook, ahh...that makes sense, it was WAY obvious on the longer exposure shots and it turns out it absolutely was some sneeze spots on the actual corner of the image capturer mirror thingy (that's the scientific term) that would not come off easily. I ended up buying a camera cleaning kit with all sorts of goodies and rectified it.

And Justin, I don't make it a habit...just like texting and driving, it's dangerous. But given your record and your love for a various buzz...I'm surprised your'e the one pointing it out.

Well, anything on the mirror won't show up in pictures, FYI. It's anything thats on the sensor (which you'll never see unless you lock the mirror up for cleaning) or in the lens elements that will show up.

ah...you're right, it was also the lens element then...the smaller one on the side that goes locked onto the camera.

Yeah, these things are a PITA to keep clean. I don't ever remember my film camera getting dirty. Then again... the only thing that could get dirty in a film SLR was the lens, really.
