We ended up having turkey and BBQ pork ribs last night with some mustard greens.
Had leftover turkey and ribs for breakfast with a side bowl of pork and chive dumplings and congee. Got sent home with like 5 lbs of mutton and noodles and a rack and a half of ribs.
TSA tossed the luggage (always do when we pack home the good-good) but all the food and my crafties made it through unscathed.
Plus traffic was light and we had time to spare before hitting the airport and were able to get lunch at this little joint we've been going to for years. Ate there 3 times this week. Just last week they got written up as one of the top 38 restaurants in the country. All sorts of cunts there "food touristing" and blowing up my spot. Bullshit fuckwrs. Still.... I got mines.

I think I can say I'm pretty indigenous to holidays at this point... I hate them, but since Thanksgiving has become Black Friday eve it's been getting cooler...

Oh, and we also got an Adovada turnover with sides of green and red chile to bring home. TSA flagged it and had to do a secondary screening going through the checkpoint.
I'm convinced anywhere else in the country would have 86'd it, but them ABQ guys know what's up with the sauce. He just swished each container around for a few seconds and was like, "yeah, this is good to go".
Had they tried to confiscate it, there'd have been a fistfight.

It's a shame how TSA is handled... And security can be a bitch for a plane spotter like me... Good thing is the Southwest guys would wave and put on a show for me, giving nervous passengers whiplash and likely further deepening their anxiety for flying...

Put it this way, I can be having a great time with the family, best time ever, but I'll still think, "man, I could go for a red chile enchilada or a sope with green".
But I've never been showing down on some rellenos and thought, "wow, it would be awesome if aunt Karen was here."
