Have they asked you what you want in terms of salary? Either way, whatever number they throw at you, I always consider that as a starting point.

This. No point BSing your skills... that's a sure way to get fired or demoted or considered a tool, at the very least. It's all about negotiating now, if you get the position. You know what you're worth. By the end of the day, it's not like you NEED this job. Sure, it'd be nice and something new and blah blah blah... but you can find that likely at another company, too. If they don't want to pay up, don't accept. Simple as that.

The President of the company was in the interview with me, which was unexpected. He asked me what I was currently making, and what I was hoping for and I told them. Maj makes a really good point though, I'm sure they'll use that 'inferiority ploy' against me and try to get me in at a lower rate. It sounds like a really good place for me to grow alongside the company. I always thought I wanted to be in a bigger company: one that offers stability and opportunities but being in one now has shown me that it isn't necessarily true. I've learned that I'm just a cog in this ridiculous machine and they couldn't care less about me here

The best way to disable infinite scrolling on Azine is to just log the fuck off and get a life.

Professional pet peeve time:
I HATE when people schedule a call, say they'll call, schedule a meeting, and then don't show up on time. Yesterday one of the test leads wanted to chat at 9 yesterday and I emailed him at 9:05 and then 9:45 and still nothing... didn't even respond to the email

Everything is polarized, and the wrong leadership can really spoil the group.
I'm not saying don't take the position, but being in a position where you wear many hats isn't always the best.
Plus your work is scrutinized at all levels, good or bad. If the boss fails, it's a setup to blame you.
Stability is a farce. There are few companies too big to fail.
Companies with high rev and money in the bank are the safe bets (Google, Msft, Apple, etc)
But they even lay-off certain divisions once in a while if they re-org or restructure some businesses.
With most private companies, your ass is never safe and there is no loyalty.
Asking what you make and what you want to make is bad form as well.
Best answer is I know my value and I'm making a comfortable living above the current market.
Let them guess what they should offer your skillset. Remember, you have big boy experience.
They don't have that, they only pretend to have that.

Thots.. I've worked at small companies, they're the wurst.

I'm tempted to take it just because I want that scrutiny for a change.. it was too lax at my current job and i haven't grown because of it. I want them to tell me how i can improve on my skillset.

it's true. i work at a small firm and if i do a good job suxing the dix then my boss is always smiling claiming he did good work and if i do a bad job on the suxing the dix then he's all mad at me and makes me do it again after his refractory period. i'm glad he's getting older cause the period is getting wonger.

Also!!! If you have any reserved stock or cash coming to you from your current place..
Make sure the new place knows you want that guaranteed with them if you join them..
Don't leave that off the table. You don't want to lose those bonuses.

Over whatever piece of shit he'd drive otherwise (not literally a shitbrown A3)
For me it was 100 over the TL on insurance for the year. My commute was far, but considering it's relatively short for Flip, extra 10 mpg deficit isn't going to be that painful. So extra 50ish / month over is a good estimate. IOW, shushhhhhh. Tryna get Flip to stunt and be ignant AF (not be a pussy).

I waited until I got my bonus to start looking (doled out in March) and my stocks and already been vested so I'm all set on that front.
