I have fire stick, roku, and apple tv
Roku has been most solid so far, but it doesn't have an app store
Apple TV has the best app store, but even though they have prime, won't allow you to purchase through it
Fire stick is good in-between, both roku and fire stick have about the same amount of lag

Apple TV (4th gen) has the nicest remote (altho roku has all da buttons) and is pretty fast
But I've had BLOD once, had to reset it.. that sucks because you have to download your shit again, and re-login.

Fire stick also died on me, had the can't connect to network error. I even did MAC addressing on router, gave it dedicated address, nothing.
Had to reset that bitch too. It did it again, still under warranty, but I don't want another piece of shit.
Took a shit on it, set it fire, pissed it out, then nutted on it.

He's okay. He's smart, but if you leave him to his own devices for longer than it takes you to go to the bathroom, he'll leave you a gross surprise.

I'm more of a helicopter dog parent because I don't want messes, but he's learning to sit right now and he goes to the bathroom the second you let him out, which is great.

He adores our oldest dog, though

I'd only consider a firestick because of people installing Kodi on it. I have an AppleTV but don't use it as often because I don't buy movies from their app store. I use Chromecast the most... multiple times daily.

I've got a JB'd fire stick/TV, Apple TV (I forget which gen), and a TV with Roku built in (rubbish). JB'd Fire devices get most of the use at home followed by the Apple TV.
