duh.. he shoots them. What more is there to know.
I honestly get no joy out of shooting an AR. A shotty on the other hand..
One thing I've always wanted to get into is long range target shooting. I'd love to take my 30-06 and shoot 1000 yards.

When I shoot it, I go to a gun range that supports the NRA.
When I hope to never shoot it is in my house defending my family and/or my constitutional rights.
It doesn't matter if I need it or not. It is my right that "shall not be infringed" by anyone.
Driving is a privilege not a right and therefore can be taken away at any time. Apples to oranges argument.
I don't get heated into this conversation. Rather try to spread knowledge and truth.
The 2nd amendment gives me the right to own any armament that our military has. If I have enough money I should be able to own an Apache helicoptor, tank, bazooka, grenades.
With the gun act of 1934 it requires a $200.00 tax stamp and a form 4 to own an automatic rifle. You can also you that stamp to own a grenade under the explosive devices. But it would be 200.00 for tax stamp and price of grenade. You would need a tax stamp for each grenade bought and registered.
That would get spendy. Silencers are the same way. 200.00 tax stamp and price of silencer, form 4 and about a 6-8 month wait.

I am not questioning your rights and law to own/have a gun....am just wondering what you do with it....
"i go to a shooting range" was a good enough answer LOL
am not here to take your right away from you or get into an argument...
its like me asking you where you drive and you telling me "its my birth right to drive and you shall not take it from me"

Our range goes out to 600 yards. I got a spotting scope so that I can shoot 200-400 yards and see holes in paper.
I can shoot chest sized plates all day at 200 yards with just a non-magnified eotech holographic sight.
But open carry here is legal so if I wanted to walk down the street with an ar15 or shotgun that is my right to do so.
And law-abiding gun owners do not shoot their weapons in the air because of a holiday or drunkedness.
Thats what cholos do.
LOL not arguing either.

Point of story Anil. Buy your wife a gun. The both of you will enjoy it, and god forbid it may save your life one day, or that of your woman's/childrens.
Better to have and not need, then to need and not have.

More gun talk, ugh
I don't really like guns, too many people have them that shouldn't (crack heads, "gang members", sketchy people). Other than that I don't really have a dog in the fight. If someone breaks into my home and shoots me, I guess it's my time to go. You hardly ever hear of a fight that doesn't turn into someone getting shot and killed. There are too many cowards that are scared to take a whoopin, and just pull a trigger.
I don't think anyones right to own should be taken away, just wish there was a way to get them out of the wrong hands.

Take a handgun / conceal carry course.. shoot several guns, all calibers.
Most important rule, don't point the gun at anything you don't intend to shoot.
Take your wife too.. make sure she knows rule #1. I took a group out shooting, most of them first timers.. one of the girls was shooting a 38.. first fucking thing she does after firing the first shot is turn back to everyone and laugh.. pointing the gun at everyone doing so.
Don't do that.

Actually I disagree with rule #1.
Rule #1 is: Treat every gun as if it was loaded
There are 4 main rules about gun handling. I will have to dig them up but I have some home security issues to deal with.
Damn smoke detector is linked to home system and batteries are dead and they require a special battery. 1st world problems.

essentially........
1. all firearms are always loaded
2. never point a firearm at anything you don't want destroyed
3. keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you are ready to fire
4. be aware of your target, backstop, and beyond

And that is the number 1 reason I own guns. To protect my life and make sure my children live longer than me.
I work hard for what I have and I will not let ANYONE take that away from me, not while I have a breath in my lungs.
And while you don't feel strongly towards them I appreciate your feelings of not wanting to get rid of them from decent-folks. As most of us look to protect ourselves first and others second.
Maybe if I make it to the national meet I can sway your opionion

I get to drive my car today. Yay!!
I tried yesterday but the battery was completely drained AGAIN.
I drove it last week after it sat for 4 weeks without even looking at it. Started right up. Went out last night after 6 days, nothing. The door locks barely unlocked with key fob.
This is getting old. Gonna have to start investigating HFL, never really noticed this until after the DRL and fog light mods. I am pretty sure the addition of relays properly grounded and wired shouldn't be causing a draw of power.
