If they did analyze the fluid, it would only be if the fluid was the suspect in the failure and it would be from a starting point of the fluid contains "X", now what was added or broke down to cause the result. Analyzing something to find out what it is, starting from an unknown, is very expensive. It all gets pumped into a bulk tank and sold for recycling. My company buys it!!

I don't mind IHC. I just don't care for his holier than thou attitude. I am NOT friends with him on FB!!! He recommends the generic off the shelf type f as a Hail Mary. I went with a name brand and a little of it. I may not use it.

I just did the drain. It netted about 2.8 quarts as expected. This shit looked and smelled horrible. The magnet on the plug had, in my experience, the appropriate amount of steel material for a 131,000 mile trans. Dow the dilemma. DW1 or type f?

I leave work in 3 hours....if you can wait, I can take a pic....mine is out in the open because of a smaller battery and other weight loss items....

but it should be right under the fuse box and on top of the battery....a huge 3/4 bolt (if i reckon right) and it says ATF on top
