I have read about that but seemed to take longer than the anecdotal advice. Flashed Sunday night. Drove around the block a few times. Turned engine on and off at least 3 times. Woke up for work Monday morning; lights still on and could not switch mode selector. Drove 25 miles to work. When I got back in to go home, everything was clear. Comfort mode feels like butter. Was just worried since it seemed to be taking longer than everyone else.

Safe travels, everyone

I had this happen one time after flashing. For me, uploading the same calibration again cleared it up quickly. When the calibration is done and the instruction is given to power cycle the ignition, I tend to turn it off once more before starting the vehicle for initial drive impressions before firing the engine.

I have question seeing if anyone can help, I just got my ktuner and flashed stage 1 but I don't remember if my driving mode was in comfort or sport, I wanted to know if when you do the flash does it optimize all modes or just that specific one I was in?
sorry if this is a newbie question

does not distinguish between comfort or sport modes. the modes are based on shifting levels (or shift points), throttle position, and steering firmness. The stage 1 curve you burned is common between all modes.
that is what I understand considering the ecu you burned has one set of data.
btw, go ahead and burn stage 2….

Nope, no other mods required. I don’t know why they have a Stage 1…..I did that too. So, I thought, if Stage 1 is good, maybe Stage 2 is awesome! Yep, pretty much.

I agree with padre, don’t know why there is a stage 1. I tried it also at first. A week later went to stage 2. Don’t let it scare you. No change in mpg unless you have a heavy foot, right Padre? Lol

yes, same thing you did for stage one. There are some quick adjustments on the left of he app that you can tweak later, but I suggest to just burn the stage two to keep getting familiar with the app and burning,
Have fun!

stage 2 feels like a different car,
there seems to be more power even every gear but still didnt fix the delay when from stop and go immediately, there is still that lag....or maybe my pedal is not mashed down enough?

the delay is partially turbo lag
And the ecu will limit boost in 1/2 gears as a torque management safety system
k tuner does not have the tables for this to adjust yet-
hopefully soon

there's definitely a difference in both stages but I still feel stage 1 has more a refreshed feel than stage 2,

You can adjust some of these params and adjust your driving slightly to minimize the 'delay'. Yeah, some is turbo lag, but most is delay in engaging the tranny. First, the ECU does not control the tranny, it just provides a power curve relative to your foot on the pedal, the gear, and the load on the machine (including rpm). When you ktune burn, you can change some 'quick adjustments' on the tree on the left in the app (before you burn it). you can make the pedal more sensitive, spool up the turbo faster, and minimize the 'turbo target'. I maximize the turbo target, up the turbo spool up one, and up the sensitivity of the pedal up one. All feels a little differently if you pay attention. And yes, the stock mechanics actually delay the turbo spooling, so this is what I see as causing the turbo lag. Now, once you have it Sport+, your rpm is so high, many of these settings don't really matter b/c you are already spooled up, hence the fast reaction time.
I find to help with that annoying 'tranny' delay, i do a tranny reset, which you can find on the site, it has been posted a couple times. it involves holding down the throttle with the car off for a minute or two in a short process.
Next suggestion, while driving, if you are not in S+ mode, and real slow or stopped, tap either paddle just before you hit the gas. it helps alot. Also, I use the brake stop feature. I find coming off that brake stop there is never a delay, and it moves pretty quickly.

good luck. let us know what you experience.

This is not something I have heard before! Good advice for those concerned about the lag from stop or very lo speed. I think I only recognized it once or twice in the 30,000+ miles I put on my '19. I am usually easy on the pedal.

I would not change any of those’ disable’ settings, just the three quickies. Unless you really know to change them.

there is no correct way. Just a way you like it. One pedal up for me is good. Otherwise a bit too sensitive. I cannot tell much changing the response. I always max out the target since I do not want anything slowing me down!

WOW, wonder how that could happen? a better tune, better efficiency maybe? This should answer all those questions out there about the mpg gain/loss of ktuner. Are you hearing me FB Groups? (probably not).
Now, go another 100 miles and see what it is....lol

Can you share what adjustments you made to achieve such a MPG?

The vehicle was just filled with gas so I'd expect driving 45-70 mph for 30.7 miles to avg 27.4 or better on the instant MPG reading. (this is not going to be an accurate interpretation of the end result)

that’s why he needs another 100 miles on the tank and then look at mpg again….lol

Question for K-tuner users who have gotten dealer service:

I'm going in to have the "limp-mode" TSB done. All I need to do is flash back to factory, correct? Or do I need to unlock the k-tuner from the ecu? Want to make sure I'm doin it right. Thanks.

all I would do is flash back to factory. Maybe an Acura tech can chime in here?

I have taken mine into the dealer for service on the ECU issue I had and it carried the Stage 2 Tune. No issues, and they did the update I couldn't download with the tune in place. It is not that hard to flash back and forth, but after accidentally screwing my ECU up a couple years ago, I don't go messing with it as much these days.

Plus, if the update involves a flash, they will likely do it anyway, so I would be interested in checking to see if your tune is still active when you get home.

I just flashed last night feels good pulls much better on the highway so before I was averaging 20.5-21.5 mpg mixed use but majority highway and some spirited back roads. measured over 350 miles final 21.3 mpg. trying really hard i could get 22-23mpg on average highway. I reset my mpg after flashing and looks to be a large bump in mpg gains also seems to shift less during elevations where it would drop gears when going up hill sort of speak. right now I am floating at 27.6 mpg I'll report back but I can already tell this is a nice mpg gain simply for remaining in its top gear and gliding easier at lower rpm.

I am looking for more power I am use to powerful cars so I wasn't wowed by the flash anyone do any custom tuning I would imagine that jump would make me happy. It drives well but I want more punch. Do the Turbo Responsiveness and Boost Target Ramp make a big difference level 1 vs MAX? I set all of them at level 1 to start

Each level will make a good amount of difference and contributes to overall drive feel, which it appears you like. You can definitely get more power with custom tuning or even an off the shelf option that pushes further than the KTuner basemaps.

Anyone see this weird Ktuner Stage 3 tune? What is this...and why is it so much cheaper than Ktuner Stage 2?
