Sorry to hear man... I was tempted to get this lip but now I'm not sure anymore. Maybe take it to a new body shop?

Yeah I'm home on break so that's on my list of shit to get done. I never thought it would happen to me... Of course if you only hand wash your cars you have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately I'm not a home owner so I have no water/ places to store cleaning equipment for my car.

Video I made this morning. @ 2:17 it gets fun. This gopro gives some great quality shots. You can even hear the birds chirping earlier in the video. Just looks stunning in 1080p.

Sweet video. Sorry for such a rookie question but I also have a white tsx and I want to chang my grill. Did you have to take your grill off when you put cf vinyl on it? If so do you have to take the bumper off to take the grill off?

Yeah bro you have no idea. 2 new apartment complexes built, the plaza got torn down(except McDonald lol) just so much expansion!

@mustard- I didn't take my grille off to wrap it, it wasn't too bad doing it with the bumper on. Just use a heat gun, or hair drier

Yeah just make sure the vinyl is very tight and smooth, use a credit card or your fingers to make a nice creased line around the emblem, then just use and exacting knife to cut around the edges. Just go slow, it's not too bad

Isk yet haha, there is so much literature! I'm bogged down with classes right now so I've only had the chance to install the software. But I plan to lower vtec for sure, and then read up on how to tune the ecu based on the data log maps. Should be fun! Then I can share all my tunes with you guys. Just wish I had that rv6 pipe lol

Alright so I reflashed my ECU this afternoon with "TSX MT 2009-2010, stock equivalent speed density basemap"

Went for a quick test run, didn't notice too much of a difference from stock. I didn't notice too much change in the lower vtec but the rev limiter switch to 7600 was great! It's exactly where you expect it to be when you want max power before shifting.

I still have a lot of shcool work to do so I didn't do any on-board data logging yet. Once I do that, I'll read up on how to analyze the graphs and make the best tune. For anyone thinking about buying the flashpro, the install and reflash process was super easy. I was worried cause I never did tuning before, but its actually pretty easy.

I read somewhere that lowering vtec is pointless.

Kinda true, if that's the only thing you change. But that's why you look at the maps and when your low end and high end cross that's where u set vtec. The base map adjusts a few things right off that bat to help slightly with performance without tuning to specific mods.

Dude, Congrats on the latest purchase! Wish they made one for the 11-12 TSX's out there.

BTW just got my RV6 downpipe/HFC combo today. now we can be jealous of each other's latest additions!

These past couple of months have been brutal on my paint.. some asshole hit and run. In my apartment complex smh. Gotta get an estimate on how much the repair will cost. Might as well do the lip at the same time. May see how much a sports bumper cost. Best place to get one?

Ouch. I would definitely get the aero front. Get insurance to pay for a respray and pay the difference out of pocket for the new front.

Is the dealer typically the best place to get the aero bumper from?

Only saw one on eBay and it didn't look like too much of a deal to me. Feel like my dealer could match, and then I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. First gotta get a quote before I start shopping for aero bumper. If I did should I sell the lip? Or modify it to my sports bumper? Or start making fiberglass molds for you guys?

I don't think the lip would look right on the aero front. I barley think it looks alright on the normal bumpers. Check dealership for prices to compare prices.

Shit... That's exactly what I feared apin. I knew it would cost that much. I'm 90% sure I know who did it and they blatantly lied to my face. Some people have no integrity.

Thanks jeroplex! I really appreciate it! Maybe we can work something out with my lip if you're interested and that the direction I take.

all I can say when I saw it is "Karma is a Bitch"... at least you have some idea who it is you should check their rear bumper for some paint chips...mine was a straight hit and run

...the $400 quote was a friend too which blows even more

Well, hit in run in the fact that no one came forward. I was parked facing the building and about 2ft away from the curb. I never park too close so my lip doesn't hit. But I'm soooooo sure of what happened. We let so called "friends" borrow a table of ours and when they returned the table they had to swing wide into the street to get it up the stairs I'm positive when they did that they scraped my bumper. I even had yellow paint on my bumper from the table, and white paint that was left in the edge of the table. They claim there's NO WAY it was them cause they were VERY careful... After they admittedly said they were still drunk from the night before when the came to return it.

I'm trying to stay calm about everything, my gf actually got more mad than I did haha. I really try not to point the finger at someone who's innocent but seeing how I didn't move my car all day and it happened within 2 hours of them returning the table, I can only believe it was them.

The ONLY silver lining is possible aero bumper lol

Saw that, I think they are selling it for like $587 or something, and another for $607. I think I would do it for $500.

Oh and I called carlitos tires, who did our springs and asked who he would recommend for body work. Said there's a place called color recon right next to his business who does good work. Gunna check them out and see what they say.
