Guys, it's the TSX. The grainy 3 point perspective photo makes it hard to tell size. Look at the side shot. It's the TSX.

If I'm wrong and it's the new TL, then Acura really blew it.

I paid 28K for my 07 in April of last year (5AT/Nav) so you should be able to get a better price on the 08s since it's the last year of the design and they're trying to clear them out.

I wouldn't pay a penny more than invoice - $400 (I got mine for $250 under invoice). With almost $800 down and 15K a year, my payments are $361.

Wow no comparison to the tl spy shots. Its def. the tsx. Look at the tsx spy shots from a while back with camo then look at the new grainy pics. the grille, bumper, fenders, windows, and overall shape is exactly like the tsx with camo.

As for all the hating on the 09. I loved the 04-08's but change is going to have to happen. It looks to me Acura has kept alot of the same styling (esp. from the side profile). Can't change a good thing too much but revamped the front and rear. I love the look of the new front end in the grainy pics. I think the whole car looks more upscale than the current TSX...Of course I am not an old fart yet that hates change

Just look at the brakes... that should tell you right away. Same shit as the current TSX... if it was the TL they would use the "Acura" rotors or something that can handle the size of the TL

Just my opinion... I just figured it as a dead give away.

By the way, that middle camera phone picture is most likely the TL... not the TSX. The black one, def. a TSX

I agree that middle camera photo makes the silver car look too long to be the TSX. But if you go to TOV and look at the companion side shot photo (same camera, same moment), it is obvious the dimensions are much smaller then it seems. The 3point shot is a bit of an illusion.

I personally like the front view of the spy shot. It has similar dimension to the current GS. The side view looks like the current TSX. I don't think it would be wise to radically alter the look of the new gen TSX/TL. Those current cars are design hits. However, minor tweaks to make them more modern or refresh is the best thing.

For example look at the new G35/37. Camoflaged both of the new models would not look a whole lot different from the prior generation.

The goods will be in what Acura packs in the new TSX/TL. If they increase the hp to 240-50 in the TSX, SH-AWD in the TL, better BT integration, better tech goodies, that's what will drive sales plus handsome looks.

Based on the looks of these pics, I think they might have a winner here. The contours of the ass end are much more visible here. That massive fuel door from the spy pic actually looks pretty good in the carrier pics. The tail light assemblies also have a lot of contours and definition to them.

I'm kinda liking it, which sucks because I just bought a 2008 6MT. Well, maybe not...

Def. looks like the spy pics tyson took. Look at the gas tank location. yes its the Euro Accord you can see part of the name accord on the white one and the H on the rims. (rims are kinda blah) Hopefully our Acura version has better ones.
My question is doesn't the black one in front and the white one seem to have different tailights? or am I just seeing things? The white looks like the back up light is closer to the center of the car were as the black one seems to farther to the outside????

Nice catch. Interesting how the rear fender flare seems to be more aggressive. Rear bumper is more TL-like...much better than the Saturn-esque rear of the Gen8 Accord.

If the new TSX looks good, what's the problem? Honda has had a reputation of screwing up their exterior styling in the past (e.x. Gen7 US Accord, Gen4 Prelude, Del Sol, Gen7 Civic), so I'll just be happy if the new car looks good. Honda can get themselves in trouble when they try to make their cars too futuristic. They do know how to make good looking cars though, as long as they keep their heads screwed on.

What's wrong with an evolution of the current car? I really like the look of the current car. I like spotting other TSXs on the road so I can imagine what other people are seeing when I'm driving around!!!

Very nice looking car ... but as we all know with Acura the interior is what usually wins us over so for me the exterior is definitely not a deal breaker.

Now the wait for interior shots and locked info on the powertrain

The back looks really good! Identifiable as a TSX yet more organic.

The rear has potential, but I'm still not sold on the side profile. It's just not as sexy as the B8 A4 that will be out later this year.

Guess we'll wait and see it in April. I'm itching for a new car again, even though I really shouldn't spend the money...

looks like the back of the RDX turned into a sedan.

the tail lights are pretty dynamic. i like that. granted it's grainy, but the rear definately retains the gen 1 cues.

The new RL pictures got released today. Take a deep breath before you look. I think we can expect this grill on the TSX as well.

back side kinda reminds me of a mercedes. i think it's the tail lights, sans the little flare downward on the sides.

i don't know what to think of that huge, honkin' grille in the front.

I do like the back end. I would have to see it in person to make a final decision. Anyways this is a TSX forum so I'll try not to get to side tracked.

right.

i have a feeling the sides and front of the new TSX won't nearly look as mean as the back.

but hey, i'd like to be proven wrong. and did anyone notice the dual-colored side mirror? it's like someone put a black and white cookie on the car. is that for real?

Holy crap, that is one huge grille on the RL! That will take some getting used to. But what a MMC that is!

Looking at the new RL, I just hope that the TSX grille is not quite that gaudy...

The back is actually looking good. If it was the Euro Tourer tail lights, I would be disapointed. It looks as if the TSX will still have a similar body style...

As for the RL... take it back =(

Absolutely agree. Acura didn't need to vastly change up the styling because the outgoing model was really nice in an understated way already. Sometimes people just want change for the sake of change, but when you've got a good thing going it's better to stick with minor adjustments.

Besides, sometimes a radical change makes a car look worse. Just look at the new Ford Focus and you'll get the point.

also, i think those rims look even worse than the 07/08 rims for the TSX. god, can't they at least make them a little edgier?

I don' t mind that RL too much, not bad. Not sure what I really think of the grill, I don't think it'll grow on me. Looks like they pulled it right off a concept car. I like the back end, although they could tone down the chrome shelf holding up the badging.

I noticed on the white Accord in the carrier pics, that the wheel wells don't look any bigger than the current TSX and that got me thinking of the possibility of SH-AWD on the new model. How likely is that really, when the TSX is ENTRY level? I'd think SH-AWD would push the price up too high to keep the price relatively the same.

according to autoblog.com regarding the face/grille of the RL--

"According to Honda Sales EVP Dick Colliver, the face being shown on this car will spread to the rest of the lineup as the TL and TSX sedans are redesigned later this year."

so expect to see some obnoxiousness on the fronts of the TL and TSX. oh boy.

Yea, well i think i have made a decision to keep my TSX til it dies and maybe buy a used 2000-2002 SS and use that as my project and weekend car. Either that or trade in for a leftover 08 TL-S or possible 08 G8 but no more I4 for me when i want to have fun.

Overall I am impressed with the look of the TSX based on what we have seen. But I have a few concerns: 1) That hideous grille on the RL [I think that is a deal-breaker] 2) The crappy wheels 3) The oversized fuel door [like the new location but that thing is huge].

Now I am ready to hear about the engine and features.

If you click on this link and get to the picture that features the back end of the new black TSX, isn't the other black one that is on top of the TSX also a TSX? I don't see the RL grill on there which is on it's frontal view of the car.
