Does any of the Acura vehicles have LSD? I think they should get that onto the new TSX and TL FWD versions.

Not sure what the TSX performance version will be. It doesn't make sense if they don't put in the turbo from RDX. I don't expect the turbo diesel to be in a TSX this year.

XM weather - who gives a damn.

I think XM Weather is just for the RL anyway. Having the weather on the NAV screen would be cool, but I wouldn't want to pay too much for it.

Sirius has an in car Sat TV service coming out...

http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog...s/4213771.html

But I think Honda is still XM only. Of course if the Sirius XM merger happens then it might become an option.

The TL-S 6-sp manual has a limited slip.

Euro Accord at Geneva: Same teaser pic on their website

It ain't much, but for those of you who can't wait, it's better than nothing:

http://www.salon-auto.ch/en/en_image...x.php?idPage=4

So looks like the next Euro Accord will definitely be unveiled in Geneva. Notice how the other manufacturers post up images of the full cars whereas Honda only lets us see the damn headlights...

I guess the headlights are the best features of the car. What is the deal in hiding the car from us still, Honda?

I saw some rims on an unknown year of a Mazda3 sedan, and they looked almost identical to the rims of the spy pics and the Euro Accord video, really sad.

That's why they call it a "teaser." They will reveal the entire car soon.

Here are all the images they have shown so far...

It looks like that is going to be the car. I don't like the bigger grill on the front and the rear lights. I guess the rear lights may look different. The driver's gauges are not that bad. What do you think?

^^^^ Nope, I think that side pic looks almost the exact same as the current gen, which would be in keeping with Honda's typical styling updates. How about comparing these to the spy pics?

Actually, if you want bad, look at the rims on the original spy pics. These are much better IMO....and the ride height looks pretty low....

Reach,
as for this not being a TSX, I think we can safely assume it's an Acura at the very least. Call me crazy, but I google-mapped the pic, and it looks like this was taken just outside Honda's R&D facility in Torrance. That, and the grill is an Acura grill. BTW, the proportions are almost identical to the spy pics...

It sure looks like a revamped TSX to me.

The way the chin piece is slanted up towards the front, just a hint of an exhaust tip peeking out from the back, and the very distinct way the headlights wrap around the front corner to the angular signal, and a few other elements too.

If I were a betting man I'd say sway bars all around if it ain't.

Size & styling look about right to me. From the front, it looks bigger, but from the side, it looks similar to the current size. At least it's nice to have some new pics to analyze.

the curves on this car seem kinda consistent to what were in those old spy shots of the covered test mule.

if that ends up being the new TSX, i don't think its exterior is that much of an improvment from what it is currently.

also, that back-end from the side view looks like a 3 series sans the taillights.

Thumbs down

IMHO, I kinda feel cheated. I've been waiting for months to see what the new & improved TSX would look like, and from what I've seen in these latest "spy pics", amounts to nothing more than a MMC refresh of what we already have (slight exterior/interior changes, upgrade in engine power). Unless the car when seen in actual shots looks significantly different than the model I'm currenly driving, I won't be picking the '09 TSX as my next car.

I feel as if I've been duped.

Exclamation

Those pics look like the spy shots IMO. We never know, Honda might make some final changes before they roll out .

IF not, 04-08 TSX's are looking better and better.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the '04 TSX I'm currently driving, and I feel as if 30 - 40 hp jump would be cool. But there's no real point in running down to the dealership and paying for a new car that looks pretty much like my old car, and the '08's.

Too early to tell for sure, but if that is what it ends up looking like, I will be heavily considering a switch to the 2009 Audi A4 for my next car...

Keep in mind the rear is still camo'd, not much detail can be seen there just yet. Not to mention these aren't the most flattering pictures. The resolution sucks.

assuming this is a good representation of what it will look like, i don't think any more detail under that camo'ed backside is going to really 'wow' me.

this makes me like my 07 even more.

It looks like the current TSX if it got hit with an ugly stick. They basicly gave the current model which is looking kinda old a fat nose and big ears. The subtle nuances that make the current TSX not just another sedan in my eyes are lost in this new model. The Ford Fusion comparison is especialy damning, it even has the same wheels. I'm glad to not have to have any buyers remorse over purchasing an '07 relatively recently.

I agree... When you add the lack of any serious exterior differences from the 1G to the fact that the '09 may not even offer a model with SH-AWD ( an option that a lot of us on this board wanted standard), it makes me wonder what Acura design team was doing for the last 5 years. The fact that someone on this board has already compared it to a Ford Fusion is quite telling.

I hope that the TL doesn't suffer the same fate...

Makes me glad I just purchased a 2008 CGP 6MT. I'm glad I got in on the G1 body style. I agree that the subtleties that made the G1 unique are all but gone.

Like I feared, it has that god-aweful huge front end that Honda put on the new Accord...
