If not for our crappy diesel fuel, you would see these here.

Two other cars would be the 3 series coupe or the new CTS

who did you talk to?
They might be right but still... I would take anything they have to say there with a grain of salt.

But that's really about it for now.
Also the Mercedes B series can go into that range as well, but the B is a hatch, 128 is a coupe and the CSX-S is a sedan...pretty funny though.
That's about it for now, i'm sure an "ELK" from Benz will come out soon enough for it.

As far as the 2-door, acura needs to have that inexpensive model like they always have, integra-rsx-cl. We will have either a 2-door TSX or a S2000 rebadge, who knows maybe even the return of the CL?

Not a huge fan of the "depth" of those gagues or the aluminum trim on them. I wonder how they will look lit up though. The needles are on an outside track instead of the std center pivot; that might look kind of cool when in motion!
I'm in agreement that the current gen gauges are maybe the best out there right now. Even my father in-law loved them, and he's dead set against anything non-GM much less an import.
Also what's the "Up/Down" on the tach? Is that a shift indicator or something?

looks more like a design evolution rather than revolution. Size seems similar to current. I like the simplicity of the 2004-05 guages, but I think the ones they showed were pretty cool.

I sure hope that up/down has nothing to do with a shift indicator. That'd be pretty tacky.

The design looks ... OK. Nothing spectacular, not that anyone would expect from Accord (even though European). The TSX version better spice it up a bit. Re-badging just gets old.
TSX's genes are in the Euro Accord, so I would say just give up hoping it be a performance vehicle.

Well, the current gauges are different on our Accords than your Acura (yours are nicer) ... so you might have different ones for the new model, also.
In the movie can be noticed , front parking sensors, also .
I hope it will be an automatic DSG like gear box, too

That's obviously pics of the Tourer so we don't know what the taillights will look like. Although I compared it to the Tourer concept model revealed last year and these pics are of a newer version. This car also has headlight washers.
I also think those gauges are demo dummies, aside from up/down not making sense, the framing looks opaque leaving no room for readouts and dummy lights.

Yeah i bet the gauges would be different, on the TSX we have the same gauges that came from the Honda Inspire (last generation) which is the USDM accord.
So my guess is it would look something more like:

The Tourer doesn't look too bad. The Acura version better have some nicer creature comforts... like LED taillights and keyless access. lol :P

I hope the gauges look like the INSPIRE mentioned above, those are very nice. The teaser gauges look a lot like the current MDX, which I didn't like at all.
The beauty of the TSX (imho) is its clean, understated appearance. I find myself regularly impressed as to just how ergonomically perfect the TSX's interior is. Every button is where it should be (sans the sunroof button, what's up with that?!?!), stereo buttons near the stick shifter, the most used buttons closest to the driver. The new US Accord seems to stray from what I found one of Honda's strength, clean, uncluttered, ergonomically stellar interiors. The new Accord has far to many buttons. Hopefully the new TSX maintains the spirit of the current generation.
By the way, if the TSX had the RDX's turbo four (that engine rocks), it would be the perfect car. Can't wait to see the '09!!!

I am just hoping they are going to truly separate the divisions and give us something exactly like the Sports4 for the TSX. The Tourer is nice looking but it looks more like a refresh than a totally new model which Acura is suppose to be unveiling. Having 2 different cars would actually coincide with the long awaited global launch of Acura which is suppose to happen in 2010.

And that's what I was going to say. The next TSX may not even look anything like the Tourer. We may be surprised! that the TSX isn't based on the Accord anymore.
