Saw that a few of you had recommended the Collinite #845 wax here a few post back. At the same time I was gathering things to detail my car, so I order a bottle and tried it my self.
Paid $18.00 free shipping (ebay seller).
like all others had mention, it goes on very thin. I applied it with a Black Hex-logic finishing Chemical Guys pad.
I am pleased with the results, will see how long it last.
For those interested, this was what I worked with:
Meguiar's clay bar
meguiar's Mirror glaze #9 swirl remover 2.0- (Hex-logic yellow and orange CG pad)
Meguiar's Ultimate polish- (Hex-logic Blue CG pad)
Collinite #845- (hex-logic Black CG pad)
Using the porter Cable 7424xp DA
Nice work icu2tsx! How long did this whole correction/protection process take you? I take way too long claying/polishing/applying wax... just wanted to see how long it takes others.

Great job once again.
Thanks guys.
Took me about 14 hrs total, broken up in 7 days lol I have a new born baby so was not able to knock it out in one day.
To those who have these types of "tuner" lugs, are you not worried at all that someone will steal your wheels? These seem like it would make it incredibly easy for someone to quickly get them off.

i have rays aluminium lugs.
I lost the key.
OMG it was so hard to take off the lock, without damaging wheels.
under the cover of darkness and lots of time, it can be stolen without hurting the wheels too much, but I was hammering away and it was pretty loud.
then on the next lock, i deformed the aluminium lock.
since I had already removed one lock, i read the "key code on the lock" and ordered a key that fit the locks.

I'm running Work RS lug nuts. They're so light! Kinda wish I went with Rays but I guess I had a Work theme going on so I said why not.
I had Muteki SR35 black before. Rust started to form on a few of them after having taken the wheels on/off maybe 3-4 times. Was not impressed. With that being said however, I did not baby those lugs like I do with my Work ones. I try my best not to scratch these ones
xtcnrice - your blue lugs match your calipers so it looks great. I think if I put blue lugs on my car and nothing else was blue, it would look kind of weird.. lol.
Rob - Same with you... I recall you had matching blue bits and pieces so it flowed with your theme.. looked good.
I'm leaning towards the ones I posted above or just plain black. Not really a fan of chrome

if you like silver I had and sold a set they called something like silver pearl....not sure exactly but the outer face had a silver matte type finish. the sides were kind of shiny so you made nice reflections. they were nice.
then i went blue......and you know what happens after you go blue/
