Who has the Highest Mileage?

What are some of the mileages you are getting out of your TL motor? Tranny problems aside.

My 89 Legend had 175,000 miles when I sold it, didn't burn a drop of oil and ran as smooth as a baby's behind.

Granted, it was an 2.7L and it wasn't a VTEC motor, but since it was the first Honda V-6, and the current 3.2 is a grand-child with the improvments, I expect nothing less.

My 3.2 has 80,000 and also runs great. Only 100,000 more to beat my first Acura, and 8,000 more to equal my 3.0 L Acura (NSX).

My TL just turned 90,000. My 91 Accord had 304,000 on it when I sold it to buy the TL. Guess the TL has a long way to go eh?

I have 280,000 km on my "99 TL and have no engine issues.

I have some tranny problems but nothing like some of the other members have described so I think I'm safe for the time being.

I knew a girl that had 410K miles on an 87 Accord and I was amazed. I got 76k on my 03 Type S and hoping for 100K, then 150K w/o getting another tranny...I'm on #2 right now, supposedly the newer design with wider tranny fluid channels and smoother gears and stuff per dealer.

Great car

I have 212,000 on my 2000 TL. Its been a great car and I don't want to get rid of it. I will have work done to it - I just love my car and the ride is still great.

I'm guessing you have a 1999 TL with the 4-speed transmission.

Did you also own a 1999 TL? Because you mentioned having a 1999 TL in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167057

Or do you did you just refer to your 2000 TL as a 1999 model since you bought it in 1999?

In any case, congratulations on the long lasting 5-speed! I wonder what the mileage record is for the 5-speed.

I mistakenly referred to it as a 1999 when in fact it is a 2000 TL.

I hope you guys didn't jinx me with the comments about being the oldest 5 speed without a trany problem
