Who has the Highest Mileage?

Your replacement Tranny's
Did you all get a "free" replacement from the recall and then have to pay out of pocket for all the others.
My tranny did go out - I have to either replace it or get a new car and have payments. I would like to replace it. My mechanic said the charge would be $3,200 for a replacement - he said it would come with a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty - does that sound good?
I want to fix it so I can save up for a good down payment and I am thinking I may just go ahead and buy a Honda Accord next time. What do you think about the Accord?
Have a great day everyone!

'99 -- still on the first transmission, engine, etc. 143k on the clock.
Bought it new 9 years ago. debating whether new tires, brakes, etc. are worth it, or whether I should cash it in....

94k on my 02 TL-S, original tranny, probably approaching a second though base on what I'm reading.
It says a lot about a car when the number of transmissions used is included in the mileage count by owners. After reading everything on here I feel like I'm just waiting for the inevitable rebuilt...sigh.

Oil
Has anyone with high mileage switched to "high mileage oil" or are you still using the manufacturer's recommneded oil? A tech at the oil and lube shop suggested I switch las time I had it changed and I was wondering if it is necessary Any input would be appreciated.

99-TL. Just bought from a friend at 167,000 with new tranny at 150,000. He had all the records and it appears he had most of the issues on the forum addressed. Runs great!!
