When I brought my S/C'd CL-S6 into the dealership for the latest AB inflator recall, I wrote in capital letters on the service advisor work order, 'NO CAR WASH / TEST DRIVES WITHOUT THE OWNER PRESENT' to specifically negate the small print 'permission' to drive the car off the lot. Needless to say he was heavy with the 'stink eye' while telling me he has never seen anyone do that before.
One more thing and then I'll 'buzz off'.
Do you have the original automatic trans on your 320k S/C'd 3.5 (J35A3?) swapped '03 TL-S still?
If so, what do you do or recommend to keep it from grenading?
Or has it been rebuilt or swapped for the 06-07 Accord V6?
Cheers & thanks in advance.
I have original trans , rebuilt it with some upgraded parts from other acuras and have a modified oil pump set up with diff in case filter
and shift kit, 300rpm stall over stock converter. As for engine its the original 3.2s block with mdx and odyssey crank rods and special pistons. In ca cant have the block say 3.5 of will fail the smog check program. Had to go smaller on charger pulley to get boost to 7psi
2001 TL with 205K miles. The original trans was either replaced or fixed by previous owner when the recalled came out. Runs smooth but major work includes: front subframe replaced, fuel and brake lines replaced, and 4 wheel bearings replaced. Lots of maintenance items, but those are the major repairs. I intended to drive this until I die or can't drive any more.
WELL I TRYED TO UPLOAD A PICTURE WITH NO LUCK GUESS IM TO OLD FOR THIS TECHOLIGY . IM STCK WITH JUST TEXTING PICTURES UNTILL I GET SMARTER . MIGHT BE MY PHONE
Hit recently 300K. Acura tl 2003. Hope to drive it to 400K, so around 5 years more. Then will sell. Spraying Fluid Film in cavities and Cosmoline around at steel without paint. Without it subframe would rust through and would have to throw car.
^^^ To add I get it with my regular 20k miles oil change. Oil that I use is Mobile 1 extended protection. Of course, 20k filter too. Basically once per year in September.

Damn. I thought mine was up there at 226k. Any tips on keeping it going? Mine thankfully doesnt have too many issues. There's a knock from dash (actuator?) this is what dealer found when i went in for a recall.
I use synthetic oil, Mobil 1 EP, and synthetic transmission fluid, Valvoline Maxlife. Also big at spraying Fluid film in cavities, Cosmoline at metal without paint and Cold galvanizing compound at exhaust.
