Tranny Problems

Has anyone's Torque Converter Solenoid locked up? If so, how long was it before you needed a new tranny? My certified Honda Mechanic told me that they put trashy trannys in our 97-99 year 2.2/2.3 CL's. With that said, purchasing a new or rebuilt tranny will run any where from 800 to a 1000 dollars. I may just save a 1000 or so more and purchase an H22a with tranny and ecu. Does any one know if the tranny that comes with the H22a is better and will hold up better than the ones that came with our f22?

I'm not too sure, but I could have sworn that the H22 tranny had lower gear ratios. Am I right?.....anywayz, from what I've heard, yea the H22 tranny would be the way to go. And if you can get the motor to go with it, i'm sure you'll be very pleased, you'll find plenty of aftermarket parts for that motor. Not to mention it has 195hp, or is it 200?

Check in the black market some guy is selling an awesome tranny clutch and lightweight flywheel for 900. Great deal IMO.
