Help With DIY Amp and Subwoofer install

This is what i want to do:

I want to install my Kicker Amp and L5 subwoofer into my 02 TL type s. For now, i want to install the amp and sub to the stock Head Unit and keep all the Bose speakers in there for now. I understand that the Bose stock Subwoofer will not work if I install an Amp of my own, but that doesn't matter seeing that I'm putting in my own.

Are there any DIY threads that will help me with the wiring in the stock Head Unit? If not, can someone explain where to put the RCA and Remote cables? Maybe even a place to put the bass controller?

I recently put a new head unit (Jensen flip out VM93112) with a MTX amp and dual kickers..i can help you with the wireing to the head unit, as far as getting it to work with the stock, not really sure. My stock Bose sub still works. I put my amp contorller right next to the seat belt-clicker-in part (basicly my hip). i just ran the cables from my trunk, under my back seat (witch keeps coming unclipped for some reason now? If anyone knows how to fix that would be greatly appreciated) up the left side of the car under the plastic door sills and into the hood through a small hole located in the front door sill. Ill post pictures to help you out if need be just let me no. hope this helps!

This link will help you how to install aftermarket sub +amp to stock head unit. Follow post #2 from Brewboy's instruction and it will work. https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/need-help-advice-anything-adding-sub-185395/

Note:
if you want both aftermarket sub and stock sub working, just plug the stock amp wiring hardness back after splicing for aftermarket amp.
Positive cable run from battery to the trunk: this link will help you how to run it. The picture won't work in this link but instruction is clear enough to follow: http://silverknight.clickhere2.net/sound.html

Just read the instruction, go to your car, open the hood, get a flashlight and look at the firewall on driver side and you will see.

btw, all information about audio is from here: https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/%2A%2Aaudio-video-diy-info-faq-all-models-%2A%2A-299065/

thanks for the help, but i wanted to do something a little more professional. I dont want to see the wiring running through the door sill every time i open the door. It's kinda an eye-sore. I want to run the power cable through the firewall.

Get under your dash with a flash light, Look up and to the left of the brake pedal. You will see a grommet with wires running thru. Take a cloths hanger and push it thru and get it from the engine compartment side. Tape your power wire to it and pull it thru.

There is no need to tap into the rear speakers! The TL, or at least TL-S already has separate amp for the bass so just tap into sub signal wire before it goes into factory sub amp and voila, great sub signal. Adding sub+amp and tap into rear speakers using line out converter is pointless, imo.

K1ng87: just follow the intruction in the links I provided above and you should be fine. I follow the instruction when I add aftermarket sub +amp few months ago and they are working perfect.
