I went yesterday to get the trans fluid rear main seal and that grease, and the dealership said they dont sell that grease, and told me to go to autozone. But I got the fluid and seal and thats how I was able to put my car together...... I just need a starter, Intake Manifold (which is on its way, and throttle body.

I hope I can have it running in 2 weeks, money seems to be the issue when I need stuff, but thank goodness I get paid every week.

See, I'm trying to have ALL the parts I need before I even think about starting. Then get John and Joe up here and do the whole swap in a few days.

They are FULL of it. They sell the grease. It comes in a nice little red and white HONDA box. Its even in the manual as to what to use. Go over to your honda dealer. It will probably be cheaper anyway.

He was saying that the dealership doesn't sell it. Maybe they have it in stock, but don't sell it to regular customers .

he said they dont sell it, and they dont use greae on the bearing that its a sealed bearing, when its obvious when you look at it that its not sealed. I did go to the Honda dealer, the Acura dealer is like 60 miles further.

Yea.

Like,

T L Pee On You... or TL-P ON YOU

two meanings.

AHAHA that'd be great. Someone getting there ass whooped by a TL-P and reading that license plate..

or chasing someone and they're looking in there rearview saying..

TL-P is on me? WTF?

Sorry just ranting. I just thought it was funny and being creative.

See if the state plate censors will pass it- might be considered vulgar
Some places, you have to have a believable story for odd plates- has a space right on the request form.
You can also check for plates already in use on your states dmv site

If you can't get it, are you just going to use a universal grease to pack the bearing?

How many quarts of MTF should I pick up from the Honda dealer?

So it doesn't matter which shift boot you order as long as it's a shiftboot?

The one at acura cost about 90 bucks.

Yea I know that's why I went this route

Since I am not putting in the Type-S motor, I didn't want to get the CL console anyway, b/c it has that Type-S logo.

I am just going to use that black trim piece around the auto shifter and make the boot go around that. My mom loves sewing and Arts & Crafts and shit so I am going to take the car there once I'm done and see what she can do to make it look good. I kind of want the boot to go around the trim piece b/c of that knockout for the shifter lock release.

Yea but the acura one comes with the trim ring and shift pattern and S logo (even if you dont have the S motor)

Also Dont buy the CL shift knob. Get the New TL shift knob. It will sit slightly lower and looks better.

I dremeled off the top 1/4 inch (of the threaded part) of the auto lever. May do that to get the knob to sit even lower, or I might even look into the short shifter.

The short throw shifter doesnt lower the shaft height, just the throw. Get a different shift knob like the TSX or the TL shifter. They sit lower, have the shift pattern on them and feel better in your hand. If you know someone with a welder you can cut about 1" out of the shaft and reweld it to get it lower.

Yea, I may do the whole center console and boot if I can find it for cheap and get another insert made for that little spot. The same size, with the shift pattern and maybe an Acura (A) instead of the S.
