I got the J35A2 engine running today on a odyssey ecu! She fired right up and idled nicely. After I figure out how to close the hood ill take her for a spin.

The J32A2 should fit under the 99-01 Tl hood. (unless you use the pilot/mdx intake manifold spacer with the IM) now the accord??

Quick question. Since I have a Type S already will I need the interior wire harness from a CLS 6? I dont want to have to buy anything unecessary.

I'm pretty sure that if you are doing the full swap, you will need that harness or need to rewire yours

I am considering doing a 6speed swap on my car once my warranty runs out and I am wondering how much time and money on average it takes to do the 6speed swap!

Time: 2 days if you have all the right tools and all the parts you need

Money: Depends on if you do you full swap or just the trans and get the harness

whats the defference between full swap and trans/harness?

I plan on putting the cl-s6 e-brake in my car once I can find the parts, mainly so I can have some fun in the snow

Full swap is CL-S motor, ECU, wiring... Just the trans and other trans related parts and the harness can be done too

wouldn't putting the 6spd ecu get rid of all the cel's and whatnot you had?

my car is a type-s, I would probably leave the auto cluster unless I got a deal on a manual. I would install everything as is would be if acura had done it. I saw in one of the previous pages that you had to have the key re-programed; what's the reason for that?

You need to read the other 6 speed threads. Get the manual cluster, it will get rid of the auto shift range selector, and give you am larger tach, its much easier to read being its a manual. You have to reprogram the key if you put in the 6 speed ecu, thats what controls the immobilizer.

I don't know if it has any relevance but if I put in a 6spd and use the 6spd ecu will I still have traction control and VSA?

Ill probably just rewire it. Im sure it would easier to just buy it but ill take a look at some wiring diagrams & see how hard it would be.

ECU harness is much different. The harness in your car wont plug into the CL-S6 ECU. Now that richie is making the modules waiting for one of those would be the best and easiest bet.

i guess I'll see how long it takes for him to come out with the harness. I already have the CL-S6 ECU & i found a junked CLS6 i can use parts from. I guess Ill stop being a cheapo and just take everything out of the that CL. Thanks for the info

The main harness you will need is the engine harness. Start with that. That is what plugs into the ECU

It feels a lot better than it did. Even though it's not a "real" short shift kit it still reduced throw and feels good. I drove a buddy's old car that had a short shift kit and didn't like the feel at all.
