No, that's why so many people do this swap in the first place (including me).

I got in the Innovative rear motor mount for the CL-S in today that I no longer need .

I ordered it a little while ago before I decided to stick with my TL-P motor and get the module made.

Know anyone that wants it? Here's the link to the thread in the Black Market -- https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/closed-fs-innovative-rear-motor-mount-2003-cl-s-6mt-383039/#post5766457

My tranny just went out on me 30 minutes ago. Having it towed as we speak. Looks like I'm gonna do the 6-speed swap sooner than I expected.

Ouch I feel your pain. I should get the trans ordered within the next few days and try and work out something with John and Joe to put it all together some time soon.

I would still use that mount with your setup. I would also get the front and side if you dont have it.

How much will the whole project cost you?

Are you going to do everything yourself?

That rear mount for the CL-S 6 MT will fit my 99 TL-P? I think it won't fit the CL-P, so I might want to check with Excelerate/Innovative to see if it will work.

As far as doing it myself, I have had offers from JohnR and Joe (who used to be on here) to help me with the swap. I kind of know what I'm doing, but not enough to do all of this so I'm going to need some help with it.

the rear mount will work if you use the bracket for the 6 speed.

What bracket for the six speed?

There were some pretty cheap starters on car-part.com when I was looking around.

The drop in your avatar looks nice with the OEM wheels. What are you dropped on? I'm thinking of going H&R Race and Tokico HP.

THe rear mount bracket, its different then the auto one.

I found a starter on there too, im in the process of getting it.

Im dropped on Eibach pro kit springs, it looks better when in the grass.... its really not that low. plus the front is gonna be higher now with the lighter tranny.

I wasn't even really talking about that, but how the wheels sit in the wheel wells. The H&R is just a little more than the Eibach.

The part the engine mount attaches to. You will want better mounts. I have destroyed mine already.

MAKE SURE its from a 6 speed. They are different. i had a few salvage yards say they had them but when they double checked they came out of a auto.

Not going with the Innovative? They are more expensive but have a lifetime warranty.

Link to the NRG dampers?
I think I might just get the TL-P mounts and stay away from having to buy new dampers too.

Yes, and the MOUNTS themselves, not the brackets they attach to. When i did the swap i was looking into better dampers but kinda said screw it for now and want to actually try the new aftermarket mounts. You will fry the stock mounts in no time, and especially without the dampers. I however dont think they will be needed with the better mounts

I woulndt waste my money on the stock mounts and the NRG dampeners. I would just get the inovative mounts and skip the dampeners.

thats what I wanted to do, but I dont have the money now to buy the better mounts.... eventually I will, because I think that is the best way to go. Im just gonna have to deal with the shitty mounts for now.

Pohanka Acura wants to charge me $3,300 for a whole new Autotragic tranny.

Now, would it be cheaper/easier if I just buy the whole engine and 6-speed tranny or part and piece it out like how everyone else is doing?

I got a 3.5-4k window...

I'm spending 3K in parts to put the 6 speed on my TL-P motor.

If you are doing the complete swap, you will spend close to 4-5K with all the other parts you have to buy.

And all of this is just parts. You have to figure in labor if you're not going to do it yourself.

I'm doing the swap myself. I can get the full motor and tranny for 3.5k then extra parts should cost no more than 1k.

I hope.

Richie is currently making one work with the TL-S and when I get all my parts in he will have one that will make the 4 speed TL-P work.

EDIT: It won't let me post the link, so Google "6 speed obsession" and click on the first link for the whole "module" thread.

Wow that's serious...

I should think about pieceing together the parts rather than order a straight swap over.

Good thing I got another accord to drive around.

Nice. I went ahead and got a brand new clutch and flywheel to start as new as I can. I might as well go all out since I'm doing it.
