Thanks guys

What MTF do you recommend? Stay with OEM or go with the GM Friction Synchromesh that they talk about on the 3rd Gen boards?

I read the 2 gen cl boards and they are using the updated honda MTF I guess its pink in color, and the bottle is silver with a white top. They say they noticed a huge difference in the quality of the shifting and were not grinding when going into second, which I guess is common cause there were a few guys complaining about that.

You dont pack the fork, you pack the bearing and apply the grease to the fork where it contacts the bearing and in the little ball socket in it that it pivots off of

Ive had both in the trans. The GM stuff seemed to work better in the cold weather. Both are good. Ive never had a issue with grinding

Our trans (the manuals) do not take a heavy weight gear lube and would highly recommend against using it. I would use whats recommended. It makes a big difference. I could tell a difference going from the stock fluid to the updated fluid. Have you seen the stuff that goes in them? the stuff is thinner than 0w20 motor oil.

Well it never really gets that cold down here in FL. I'm "freezing" when it gets down in the 40s **bbbrrrrrrrrrr**. I'll probably just stick with the updated Honda stuff.

Thanks. Trans should be here Friday, I ordered the release fork and throw out bearing. The site I've been using has REAL good shipping time and for very cheap. When I had that big order and it went through, it got here in two days. So I should be looking to get those parts in soon as well. Then I have to get the clutch pedal bracket that they were out of (still not sure where I'm going to order that from), and that should be everything, minus the module.

I would see if you can locate them in a salvage yard. Maybe look for an accord, 98-02 to get the clutch pedal/brake pedal and mounts

I figured it was you who did it by mistake.

I already have the full brake pedal assembly and clutch pedal itself just not the clutch pedal bracket.

Now, I'm just going through and seeing what kind of nuts and bolts I am going to need to get. When I look at the parts diagrams for different parts I am going to be working on, I see a few that I might need. I know in the stickied thread you said you just got random nuts and bolts from the hardware store, but is there any other specific nuts/bolts that I will need?

sorry for the pics being so big

Will I need the 16's, 9's, 17's, 4, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13?

This is the diagram for the clutch master cylinder. What will I need from it?
I have 7, 15, 16, 17, 19..... Don't I also need 9, 20, 29's? All of that stuff from the middle?

PEDALS? I have everything for 10, except the bolts, but I can reuse the stock ones.
Kris, you have 28, the clutch pedal bracket (which I still have to order) on the parts list, but not any of the other little connectors around it. Do I not need those?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this

Parking brake. I have 1, 3, 4, 6, 7.
I just move the lines back to hook up near the center console instead of the current place?

for the parking break your gonna have to disconnect the current lines, and the also take the bolts out that hold the lines to the center hump (if you have your car in pieces youll know what I mean) If you dont remove those bolts then the cables wont reach the parking break, and youll say to yourself "WHAT THE FUCK" but then youll realize like I did.

for the clutch master cylinder your also gonna need the hose going to the reservoir which is number 20 and the clips which are number 29, if you have the tranny already then you will know if you have the slave cylinder, if you dont have that then your gonna need it, but I would wait till you have the tranny. and that should be it unless you want the clutch damoer, but some of the 6 speed guys eliminated it to get a better clutch engagement.

My transmission just got delivered here to my work

We're about to get the lunch rush in (I'm at work), so I'm going to take some pictures and post them later when I get a chance.

I'm going to have to repost the parts diagrams pictures from the posts above. I was trying this new way of hosting pics through my school, but it asks for a password to be able to view them so I'm going to have to host through Photobucket and post them again.

Some of the older hondas if i remember right required a heavier weight oil, the new ones do not. Its closer to auto fluid than anything.

I still haven't got home yet to take the pics, but they're coming -- trust me.

All the wires and lines going to it were just cut off.

It fits in the trunk of my Prelude .

Yep its small and light. The wires that plug into it are all part of the engine harness and left side cabin to engine compartment.
