All thanks to joe over in the AV6 forums. He's the guinea pig for the harness for our TLs. Hope all goes well, If this works, we owe him big time

MurkyRivers do you have a full parts list of what you have.

I'm following Kris' thread, but I don't know what I exactly need and don't need If I'm getting the full motor and tranny swap over.

If you get the CLS motor then you wont need the Crank position sensor, sprocket, front cam sprocket, and 2 TDC sensors. If the harness has been cut from the salvage yard you will need the new 6 speed harness.

7th gen accord MT will fit but is without LSD. LSD from Acura will bolt right up.

The two near the bottom said they were both gone, they just haven't updated that list on car-part.com in a while. The guy at the second one I called said he had literally just sold it a few minutes prior.

The guy at LKQ said they have one for $1200, but since I need it shipped down here, I would have to get a hold of an LKQ store in FL where they would get it shipped from the location in Alabama and then would ship it to me from the Florida store. I have no idea why, the Alabama store is just as close as all the Florida stores are.

I called my local dealership just for shits and giggles to see what they said and he said a rebuilt one for $1800 .

This is the last part I am looking for, so everyone keep an eye out for one for me and let me know if you see one .

Well, I finally got a hold of a LKQ guy here in FL and he can get me the trans from Birmingham, AL. I swear if one of you buys it, I'm gonna go apeshit.

They never show up on eBay. I think they are so wanted and sell so quick that they never really have trouble selling them in the online junk yards.

When I was asking Kris some questions he said that should be all I need to replace on a used trans. Maybe he will chime in.

You should let us know how cheap or not so cheap they are, and how to procure one.

Read post 102 I ordered one already. Getting dropped off at my work (where I will be) during the day Friday.

I was also gonna say I was with a buddy after work and he was saying a buddy of ours has a shop; big ass garage, engine hoist, and pretty much every tool you would ever need. They build race cars and big ass trucks so I think they should be able to help me out pretty good with the mechanical stuff. I'm going to be talking to them in the next few days to see if I can take my car out there and they can help me with the swap.

Im glad you got the tranny, its not even that big, and you can definitely lift it with one hand. I replaced the throw out bearing and release fork just for good measure.

When replacing the clutch you should always replace the clutch release bearing and get Hondas high temp grease for packing the bearing and the fork.
