to all those who have them installed...while i'm sure the performance of the car is improved greatly, how is the ride comfort? are bumps, potholes, and the like more unfriendly in a tls with comptech springs installed? let me know. holla.

i'm going back to stock later this week b/c the ride is TOO rough .. granted, i'll lose all the AWESOME performance gains... but if you hit a pothole,..you'll cringe everytime... i cant live w/ that anxiety. There is more road noise from the unevenness of the road..etc
bump cause more jutter in the steering... steering itself is now "guided" by grooves or "waves" in the road...
the ride comfort, imho... goes down the shi**er

Hey Pete, got your PM, and figured Id post here.
About the looks of the Comptechs; I personally love the raked look. Even is also nice, but I hate when the rear is lower than the front.
About ride quality, if you thought ride quality was rough with 17's and C-tech springs, try riding on 19's with a 35 series tire!!! It was bone jarring
So you pretty much hit all the reasons why I swapped from my Comptech Springs to Tein Coilovers.
I can lower the car exactly how I like it, and the best of all feature is ride adjustability. It can go from floaty to real stiff in minutes, so lets say on a particular day you want a sportier ride, a few turns of the wrist at each corner is all it takes.
The Teins cost more money, but I wish I just went with them from the getgo. All things considered, I think they are the better value.

The ride is a bit stiffer but certainly not intolerable. I found the ride to be a bit bouncy but putting in sways has surprisingly taken care of 80% of that.
I love the look. No offence but didn't you look at pictures before you bought them??????
If you want performance but like the stock look then you should get CT sways and return your car to stock springs.

Yeah, Peter...You really need to at least give it a week if not two. H=ll, even when I have my tires rotated (about every 45 days or so) the cars doesn't feel right for about 2 or 3 days later. It seems to take the springs awhile to settle just right...
I hhave 18's and I have no jitteriness at all. Yes, it does provide more feedback to the wheel and I can "feel" the road more through it, but the ride isn't harsh to me. My dad's Porsche is worse, my friend's GSR Integra w/ coil overs and my other friend's WRX ride much more harsh than this...
Certainly, you could never go wrong with TEINs, but that is a lot of $$$ if you really only want modest performance and looks in the long run...
