pics pics pics! PLEASE. Have you driven it yet and does it go past 2k now? I bet your car is lighter now. So you got a CAI, now H/P/E and you will be in the 13's man.

Sounds like the VSA system in the new ECU?

When I first dyno'ed my car, I forgot to turn off VSA and the car wouldn't go above 2-3k RPM. Turned off VSA and had no problems. Maybe it's not getting the 4 channel speed signals that it needs (as opposed to the 3 channel TCS system).

No VSA on 6MT CL-S, which is what his ECU is from.

Kris, I can't believe that you got the hood closed

In your picture thread you said you've got a 1/2 inch of clearance w/o the plastic covers and hood liner... I guess that's just minor details tho'

Getting it road ready is the first thing, then getting the fit and finish stuff can be done as you have time...

Great job !!

Yea the hood closes with the engine cover and doesnt rub (so far) Its almost road ready. hopefully this week the honda dealer can get me in and plug it in to see whats up and what codes they come up with so i can address them. I got the windows figured out. The locks im going to go aftermarket alarm system/set up for them to work (much easier to work with) As soon as i get home ill be addressing them. then ill get the interiorslapped back together and get some pics

How did you measure the hood clearance (sorry if it's earlier in the thread). Did you put putty on the intake and close the hood to see how large the gap was?

I covered the whole IM with shaving cream about 1 inch thick then put a piece of saran wrap on top of it and closed the hood, then reopened it and saw the high and low spots.

Needed a shifter so i drilled out the stock one to fit the new manual shaft.

Parking brake

Nope its going to the dealer again wed, and me and a tech are going to try to figure out a few things while its hooked up to their computer. I just thought id throw in those pics to help tide some of the restless ones (cough cough blk2001tlon19s) over for awhile. If i had the windows and locks working (just need the time to run a few wires) id have the interior all put back together.

Kris, I forgot to mention. PM Richie v6, he has the 6 speed swap on his accord with a j30a1 motor. He used his stock ecu(to my knowledge) and had an issue with not being able to go past a certain rpm. Might have been 2k. It fixed it, not sure how so he might be able to point you in the correct direction also. Good luck with that also.

that was probably from the ECU not seeing the auto tranny or gear positon. Ill see what they say wed and then work from there.

I see your water temp gage is where mine always is, one notch below center. Stays there no matter what the outside temp is or how I drive the car.

Not sure. For the manual motor ECU like im running there is a different Crank position sensor on the manual than the auto. Since your running a bunch of standalones im not sure. I ordered it (it was only 60 bucks) and hopefully that fixes teh problem. I wont know till it comes (which will probably be tuesday and ill be out of town all week)
